Who has one? And can you share books? If you can, HOW?
Thanks alot and this will help me with a gift for DW. Thanks
All Kindles registered to the same
Amazon account can share all books purchased for that account.
Otherwise, if a publisher has enabled the feature, some books can be shared once, for a 14 day period, with one person. At the end of the loan period, the book reverts back to the owner and cannot be loaned again.
For example, I have 3 Kindles registered to my account. Each of my daughters has one and I have one. I can buy a book once and all 3 of us can download it to our individual Kindles and read it at the same time. No time restraints, etc.
I can also "loan" my best friend a Kindle book, if it has the function enabled by the publisher. I click on the "Loan" button to send her an email and she is able to retrieve the book from my Amazon account and read it on her Kindle. At the end of the loan period, she loses access and it comes back to me. Then, I can never loan it out again.
Of course, I also have an "extra" Kindle so I can loan that one out to anybody I want to, for as long as I want to!!
