Kindle Lovers: Interesting Article, Pricing: Amazon vs. Publishers

SIGH

it's always someting & the consumers are stuck in the middle yet again :confused3

I think it just might hurt that publisher.

I normally buy Janet Evanovich books but I am also not buying any more hardcover books because my shelves are full.

So they are actually losing a sale because I want to have it on my Kindle. Maybe I'll just borrow it from the library instead.

I won't buy the hardcover just because I can't get it on the Kindle. If they don't want to release it at $9.99 on the Kindle, they lost a sale. There are too many books that ARE available that I want to read and they'll keep me busy.

I believe the publishers of the book Game Change are going to see this as well.

They have decided to withhold the Kindle release of this book and I think it's going to hurt them.

I, for one, would have bought and read the book the day it was released.

By the time it gets to Kindle, it will be old news and all of the juicy, gossipy parts will have been spilled.

I think you are going to see this more and more until the publishing industry changes the way the do things....just as the music industry did.

That's a shame about Game Change. I agree they are making a big mistake. I'm reading it right now, it's very good, but yes, also very topical. There are ALOT of complaints in it's customer reviews section on Amazon about it not coming out on Kindle, just by those they should be able to understand the sales they are losing. The complaints are actually even knocking down Game's Change rating, which will also hurt them. And again, a shame, it's a really good book.
