Okay, I have my non 3G Kindle in front of me. I don't have a wireless connection at home.
I have the USB plugged into the Kindle and my computer. The green light is on, which (according to the user guide) means that it's fully charged. However, the screen says it's in "USB Drive Mode" and that it's charging.
If I try ejecting it, that screen goes away but the "Kindle" folder on my computer goes away too. I want to transfer the books I bought to the Kindle but I can't for the life of me figure out how.
I'm pretty computer savvy (and I'm really good at following directions) but this doesn't seem to be working.
I just want to read a book!
