Kindergarten Teachers--who else makes memory books for their students?

Each year I make Kindergarten memory books for my students, putting in their photos, artwork, creative writing, etc. that I have saved throughout the year. I am looking for ideas for the front cover. Last year mine didn't look that great, so I'm hoping to make this year's look better.

What do you do for the front cover of yours?

I am not a teacher, but I have four kids and all have gotten one of these at least once over the years!

Some of the covers that I remember and really liked were:

Photo of the class together taken on a digital camera and printed on a color printer. The teacher (First Grade in this case) had someone take it when they took the official picture for the class. But instead this is the funny version and all the kids and the teacher made funny faces. I laughed when I saw that one.

Photo of the child and teacher alone, same system as above. This was a more formal photo.

A letter the child wrote at the beginning of the school year about what they thought would happen at the end of the year. The back of the book had one that was what HAD happened and their favorite memories from the year. Probably would not work for Kindy, and obviously too late for this year anyways, but it was my all-time favorite.

And the last one that stands out was a poem. It was the kind (I forget what they are called) where you take each of the letters of the childs name and write an adjective about the child. This teacher was artistically gifted, so each of the letters of the name was beautifully done. I actually framed this and put it in her room.

Most of them though are either art or a poem.
