Has anyone dropped off your kids at the Kindercare Center in Downtown Disney? How was it? Thanks

We haven't used the actual Kindercare center, but we used the Kindercare In Room sitter on May 29th, while hubby and I went to e-night. She was great, and came with lots of toys. We came home to a peaceful sleeping baby :)

I have a reservation for 7/3 to use their in-room service, and I have a reservation for 7/4 for their center, for my 16-month old. I'll post a trip report sometime after 7/14 with a review.

I spoke with the center director when I called. (Janelle, 407-827-5437). I called to insure that they would be open for the July 4th holiday, and she suggested I make the reservation. It sounded like my son's regular daycare schedule with snacks, lunch, naptime, playtime, etc.

We're doing this so he's not in the heat all day at IOA.

I'll let you know how it is!!

hello!!am thinking of sending sons 8&11 to mouseketeer club. has anyone use there service? the one in the contemporary resort. are they good? :D

We're back! I've put some comments re. KinderCare in my trip report; if you'd like to read it.

Overall, using the KinderCare center was a positive experience. Their personnel were all great, especially their afternoon manager, Hilda. It was $42 for all day; he was with other kids his age (16 mos) and he got snacks, lunch & naptime - a lot like his regular daycare. They did ask you to call in periodically to check, which I did happily (called 3x during the day).

I used KinderCare so my little guy wouldn't have to be in the heat all day at IOA. I'm glad we did because it was a long day there and he was in air conditioning all day and just wouldn't have got as much from IOA as we did.

Just bear in mind that your child will be a drop-in at a regular daycare center. If I had to guess, this center had approx 100 attendees in 5 different age groups. When I arrived there was a sign-in sheet just for drops-ins that was dated the previous Friday and had 5 names on it. The manager who signed me in (Darla, I believe) changed the sheet for me to July 4, so evidently they didn't have any drop-ins on that Monday and Tuesday. When I signed him out Wed evening, there were only 2 names on it.

We also used a KinderCare in-room sitter, which was also a positive experience. Hope this helps.

:bounce:

Thanks Jlima for the response. I'll definitely be dropping off my twins there when I go in Sept. when DH and I spend the day at Epcot. I know that my girls will be very bored at Epcot and this will give DH and I some alone time together.

Disney is great for kids but also can be very romantic and relaxing for a h&w. Especially, Epcot's World Showcase in late afternoon-evening time. Illuminations should not be the only fireworks that go off!

Enjoy.......................
