Kinda of silly Question

We will be in Disney for 7 days and 6 nights.... I don't actually plan on visiting a park the first day even though we land at MCO at like 10am.

However, when I booked my package I went with 7 day base tickets. It was literally a couple bucks to add the extra day.

So my question is, since I will most likely have an extra day, (unless we do decide to hit a park on day 1)... if I wanted to "park hop" one day during the week could I just use two single day tickets in the same day?

Does that make sense?

No, sorry. Disney won't let you do that. Here's the info.

"A Base Ticket is one that will allow a particular guest access to one major theme park per day up to the maximum number of entitlements per ticket. A base ticket may have anywhere from one to ten days of admission. There are three options which may be purchased with a base ticket; each bear a relationship to the base ticket. Note that Base Ticket days cannot be used as entries to any of the minor parks.

No MYW ticket may have more than ten major park days of entitlements, unused or used, on it.

You are allowed to re-enter the same park if you leave it on one day, but it can only be used at the one park.

If you put the ticket in the turnstile of another park the display on the Guest side of the turnstile will be "ACCESS DENIED". The top line of the display on the Greeter side will give information about the ticket, and the second line of the display will say "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED". The turnstile will not unlock.

There is no combination of override codes that a Greeter can put into the turnstiles which will allow a Base ticket to be used in more than one park per day."

If you go to the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies Board, there's a sticky at the top that has "Everything you need to know about WDW tickets"

We added that 7th day on our last trip and that first night went over to Epcot for dinner. We did a walk in at the Coarl Reef and did just a couple things before heading in early. It was a great way to start our trip!!!!!!

I am thinking we should be at POP around 11am... we hae an ADR at Chef Mickey's at 6:30PM... so that really is enough time to hit a park for a few hours... I just don't want to wear the kids out on Day 1. Like I said... no big deal. It was literally lke $6 to add the extra day "just in case"

YOu might just want to pop over to the MK and walk around a bit not wearing anyone out and then walk on over or take the monorail to CHef Mickey since you are already over there! ENjoy

You can either -- visit a park for a short time (just let the kids know that's the plan up front so they aren't upset you aren't staying longer) or you can change your ticket to one with one less day on it. Either way -- have a great time!
