Kinda Curious- who is going in Aug?

going to WDW 8-27 to 9-3

first time in the summer for us- i know we will be in for a "little "shock with the crowds and heat as we normally go in jan. we did go this past jan and the weather ranged from 40's to 70's - it was not crowded-

i have turned into a disney-holic and am working on convincing my husband to go back in aug for the great fairytale bargain- staying at the wilderness cabins- me, DH, DD (15) DS (16) and DS (4)

When are you'all going and where are ya staying?

We arrive 8/24 and leave 8/30, staying at ASMO.
Im not too worried about crowds. We went that same week last year and had very few crowds. We waited about 15 minutes for Space Mt and GMR, but that was the worst of it. Between getting to the parks at opening and using FP, it was wonderful.
As for weather it wasnt too hot, but then again, I like it hot so I may be a bad judge. On the other hand we had a lot more rain than I expected(much more than the typical daily shower) so, Im hoping for a little better in that area.

Going August 13-24. Starting out at the Contemporary, just couldn't pass up the great deal through Shades of Green. Then we move over to the Beach Club Villas. Looking forward to swimming at Stormalong Bay!
Can't wait for our trip. Wish August would hurray up and get here!

Me, my sister and two darling little nieces will be at OKW in a studio the third week of August. I can't wait. Just counting down the days until I call for a CRT ps. I hope it's not too hot and not too wet for all of us! Everyone have a great trip!

Once again, me, DH, DS and DSF (sons friend), will be going the first week in August. Its hot as H*** but its bearable. The crowds aren't too bad and any day at Disney is always good. Can't wait til August 2nd.

We are going 8/30 - 9/6, staying at AKL. Can't wait!

We are!

8/23-8/29. Staying at ASMo. I'm well prepared for the heat and the rain. We always go in summer and always have a solid week of scorching heat and drenching rain. ANY weather in WDW is better than PERFECT weather here at home.

We will be at WDW (staying at HIFS) from 8/11 until 8/22. This is our first time staying offsite, but now that we have our third child I think we will need the extra space. Plus $99 a night with free breakfast for all and free lunch and dinner for the kids is kind of hard to pass up.

We have friends coming from England who have never been to Disney and we are treating them for 6 days and 5 nights at BWV. I'm concerned that the crowds maybe heavy and they will spent more time line. We will have to go early and take breaks and go back to the parks at night.

Watch out WDW newbies going to the mouse house August 16-30.

The trip will be for Me, DH, DD14 and DS11 ane we'll be staying at Ft. Wilderness.

We will be there 8/13-8/22 at all star movies. Although im trying to see if we can get a place at okw, or even carribean resort. We can only go now this time of year. Super HOT, but we still have a great time. Make sure you take time to enjoy the POOLS. Have a great time you all.

Joyjoy - thank you so much for the illumination cruise offer!! my little one is kinda of iffy about fireworks so we have to be somewhere that we can make a quick exit if need be!! <lol>
we stayed at the AKL in Jan- and LOVED it!!

i can't wait to get to WDW- hurry up Aug

My DD11 and I are gonna be at the Rad from 8/23 - 8/25 and arriving early in the a.m. 8/25 - 9/1 AKL!

Can hardly wait! Bring on that HEAT! It's been a LOOOOOOOONG Winter!

Myself, DW, and DS 20, DS 16 from 8/11 to 8/18. Will be spending 2 days at IOA/US kids have to get their coaster thrills. :bounce:
