Hi all,

We just got a reservation for Sept in a GV at OKW, and I'm so excited! We're going with my parents and my brother's family, and my question is this:

Both my brother and I have new babies who will sleep better (as will we) if they can't see us. Please don't send social services our way, but in the past if the unit we're in on vacation has a big enough closet, we've put the pack and play in there. We were trying to figure out if there will be two such spaces in a GV. I've thought of the laundry room, although I have no idea where it's located in the unit. Anyone know if there are any big closets, or even if one of the bathrooms is big enough for one? Think creatively with me, please :flower: !

Also, I assume there will be one pack and play, but is it easy to get another one?

Thanks!

Hmm...the laundry room is right off the kitchen on the main floor...it was quite large and I've heard lots of people say they've put a twin size aero bed in there if I remember correctly. It's been a few yrs since we had gotten the GV but I think one of the bdrms upstairs was quite large - can't remember for sure how big the closet was though. :scratchin
As for how easy to get another pak-n-play, just call mousekeeping and ask for another. I'm sure it would be quite easy to have them just run you over another.

Have a great trip. If you've never stayed in a GV, esp. at OKW, you're going to absolutely love it!!:) It was awesome!

if everyone is in the livingroom - the laundry room might be loud.

the master bath on the main floor is big enough - it is the same size as a normal master bath in a 1-bedroom and up.

I don't remember the size of the other bathrooms upstairs.

The laundry room would probably be big enough. But it is way on the opposite side of the villa from the master bedroom. I don't know if you would hear them from there unless you have a baby monitor. Probably the only place upstairs that this might work are in the bathrooms. They may fit in there. None of the closests any any of the bedrooms are walk-in. You could try the master bathroom, but there is no way to completely close it off from the bedroom. The lay-out of the master suite is a bit different in a GV from a normal 1-bedroom. There is not a separate room for shower and stool. Just a small room with the stool. You can view a floor plan of a grand villa by going to the member site and going to the DVC resorts.

A pack N play will fit in the small bathroom outside of the master room. They will also fit ( a tight fit) the queen side upstairs bedroom. We had our friends put theirs in the laundry room. Make sure you bring along a baby montior.

Have a great TRIP...
Debbie

We're here in a Grand Villa this week with our 5 month old.

We have the pack-and-play in the closet in the Master bed/bath room.

We are leaving the bi-fold doors on the closet open, but the doors to the closet CAN close with the Pack and Play set up in there.
