Sorry no webcam!!!!!!!!

Got up about 3am cst to get ready to go to airport. Everything went pretty smooth but forgot to tag or luggage for ME. It is my wife 5 yr old Daughter and 2 year old son so having to go to luggage claim wasn't on my list of yippie things to do......but it went smooth. Got to BWV by 12:15-12:30 got checked in right away to our 1br, garden grocer was already here so bell services brought it up. Garden grocer was AWESOME, I was nervous about ordering with them because I never did this type of thing before. WOW how easy I even called late lastnight to add some diapers and they were able to get them in and still meet their order window.

We overlook the the pool what a great room, things little older but not a concern for us. We went swimming kids love the clown slide, got changed headed over to MGM. No waiting for the few things we did, skipped the new toy story ride that was crazy long. We walked and it took us less than 10 mins with the kids to get to the front gate (with strollers).

Internet took a few minutes to figure out as the modem was hidden behind a table and kind of a pain to crawl back there and plug my network cord. But so far so good.

We walked back from Swan (took boat back) and on the boardwalk, neat place I think I'm going to LOVE this DVC thing!!!!!!!!!!!! Already noticed how much more laid back and relaxed we are knowing we don't have to do everything. We have stayed as SSR and also love that place. I hope to try all resorts but it is so hard to pick which resort.

Dinner is ready gotta run...........I think we will walk to EPCOT tomorrow. My son is cashed, it is pretty hot (nice out now) and pool/sun kicked his rear....well I guess getting up at 3am and flight etc didn't help:rolleyes1

Hi! Glad you're all enjoying your first day. We love the BWV's too. :goodvibes

Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Sounds like you're having a great time! We are taking our first trip home in July...

Not to steal your thunder, but there is a "live feed" coming from the Boardwalk this week. Here is the link incase anyone needs it: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/dislive

Keep reporting, I so enjoy reading live reports!!! :thumbsup2

Did you see me wave to you:rotfl2: :lmao:

However the day did keep getting better, first try (and only) I won my daughter a large animal. I won the water gun race thingy and no........I didn't take it from little kids it was adults:thumbsup2

:offtopic: In case anyone is wondering, I never saw it before at least. We ironically got in the wrong line for the backstage tours at MGM and it turned out to be meet Lighting McQueen and Mater. We were talking to a few others and thought this should be interesting how are they going to pull this kind of character off. It was awesome......they are real vehicles, I don't know who was more excited the kids or parents. It was pretty weird because they only allowed maybe a total of 30 people if that and cut if off. They gave you lots of time to get pictures, but I also thought it was weird they didn't have any photopass people there either:confused3 . People walking bye was going nuts trying to get over there but the CM's were real strict and told them they couldn't and shut the line down. It really was pretty darn cool if you get a chance it is worth seeing, gotta love the Disney magic:wizard:

I agree....it is so great being laid back on vacation EVEN at WDW! DVC is a great thing! :goodvibes Enjoy your stay, we love the Epcot area....

One question though, why did you have to plug your computer into a modem if they have wi-fi now?:confused3

Thanks for the trip report. We arrive on Tuesday for our first trip to BWV for the start of Star Wars weekends. Hope our check goes as smoothly as your did. Our flight arrrives at MCO at 9am so I will pleasantly surprised if our room is ready when we get there!

Enjoy the magic:goodvibes
DVC is a wonderful thing.....I too noticed right away how relaxed I felt....knowing we'll be back:goodvibes
Have a great trip.....BWV is one of my favorite places.

Thanks for the great post! I was feeling a little homesick. We were only there 4 weeks ago, but feels like a longer time than that. We'll be back to the BWV in October. You should try to stop by and go to welcome home wednesday at Atlantic dance. We always find this easy when staying at the BWV. It's always fun to get free stuff. It's only 1 hour long, plus you learn alot of info and they have give aways.....you know, free stuff!! It's on Wednesday at 4:00PM, and don't forget to sign up for the "free stuff".

Ok second day and WOW this location is awesome!!!! Slept in and how awesome to eat what you want when you want in your own room. Went to EPCOT got our Soarin fast pases, BTW at 4pm they ran out for the day. Spent most the time at inovations, the kids had a blast and much cooler inside. The Disney credit card....if you don't have one get one, we hardly use it but waiting less than 10 mins to spend time with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy that is worth the ahhhhhhhh free card. If you have not done this yet you should plus you get a free 5x7.

It looks like rain tonight but I hope not because we are trying to get the kids to nap so we can hit MK which also has extra hours tonight. We are going the PPP on Wed so won't make the welcome Wed. This place is awesome.

Someone asked about the wireless and it is not available in the rooms. I thought it was wireless in the rooms too and called the "help" line. I then checked dvcmembers.com and see it just states high speed internet. The wireless is available in the lobby and a few other common places.

So far so good doesn't seem to be that packed but with the small kids we are not really waiting for the popular rides. But people did state waiting over 100 mins for test track. I hope MK will be dead tonight and we will be able to get on the kids rides quickly. Does anyone know if Dumbo, Buzz, Peter Pan, etc rides close down earlier in the night? I hope not because that is obviously what will be hitting.

The location DOES rock huh!??!! :cloud9:

Thanks for your response about the internet access. After I posted last night I went to the DVC site and saw that as well. Anyway, at least it is free for us! Keep on posting when you get a chance! :thumbsup2

Just got back from MK they had extra magic hours until 2am!!!!!! Yes we closed the place, I thought no way would my 5 and 3 year old make it but not only did they make it my 3 yr son and I were the last riders on the Indy race car ride. We had them nap and got there about 7:45 we had some good timing. Ran down to the bus stop as a MK bus was already there. Well we find out it was broken down.....so I thought great how long is this going to be??? Well only about 5 mins if that, as they put us on a VIP cast only bus and brought us straight to MK. Then we run into friends of ours from work in line at the indy race car ride (BTW I rode that about 10x's tonight my son's fav ride) and they had extra fast pass for space mountain. My 5yr old daughter went to that with my wife.........she did a good job but I don't see her going on again anytime soon. I can't believe we ran into our friends, we had no idea they were going. They said they saw the shuttle launch from a beach (about 3 miles away) and said it was awesome.

I don't know if they normally stay open until 2am on extra hours but if you get a chance GO it was great. It was nice out, didn't have the hot and sun from during the day to deal with and of course less crowds. On the good side for the kids but bad for the parents......I got to ride a small world and pooh 3x's without having to get off and we could have went more but I had to get off......can only take that for so long. Now this was without getting off, we rode them another 2-3 x's where you get off and get back in line and wait maybe 2mins to get on. Not sure if I'm the only one but when I got to small world all I can think about is Shrek.

My son went crazy over the Buzz ride...if you have not been go and go again and again it is a blast for everyone. It was pretty cool leaving the park at 2am and pretty much walking down main st by yourselves. I have not been out to bar time in years who would of thunk it would be at MK:lmao: I guess we are training our kids for college, got to stay out until bar time right:confused3 I think tomorrow is a pool day and either a nice walk to EPCOT or maybe bus it to Animal Kingdom.

I can't believe all we have got in and we just got here Sat around 12:30. We only have 2 things planned, PPP and Chef Mickey breakfast. So I guess things have gone pretty well and I love no plans just winging it.......so much more relaxing. Having a kitchen and washer/dryer is just awesome, it saves so much time and of course money. I just hope the rest of the trip goes as good as the first 2:wizard:

How cool, in the park until 2am...........:thumbsup2

I LOVE walking down Main Street when it is empty!:cloud9:

I am sure the rest of your trip will be just as great!

Sounds like you all are having a blast! Love the MK when it's practically empty and you can enjoy the rides without having to get off! What a fun experience with your family.

We agree with the whole feeling of relaxing on vacation at WDW now that we're DVC members! It's so nice to hang out in the room and enjoy it!

We did Fantasyland with my sister, BIL, and 2 nephews last November. We did practically every ride between 11pm and Midnight.

The pixiedust was everywhere!! Very magical!!

I think Dumbo was the highlight of the night!!

Oh yeah forgot to add my daughter got to be "Boo" in the Monster inc Laugh In last night....she must have the magical touch last time she got to be in the Belle play and open the train in EPCOT or something. Took me 28 years for my 1st trip to Disney and it was 10 years later before my 2nd. Yeah my kids live the rough life but I think I'm having more fun then they are:cool1:

I'm glad to hear that you are having such a wonderful time! Thanks for reporting live from the Boardwalk, I am staying there for the 1st time in Oct. and I am now getting even more excited to go!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation and have a mickey bar for me! :mickeybar

Thanks for all the updates. You all are having such a great time.

I love doing the parks late. It's the best. Enjoy the rest of your trip.:goodvibes
