Kind of having second thoughts....

I hope I haven't driven anyone here nuts yet. Your help is much appreciated!

I debated forever about CSR or POFQ for the surprise trip I've planned for my husband in July. I finally decided on POFQ because I'd heard how nice it was to have a compact resort, how the resort is so well themed, and it was fresh out of a refurb...so what a great time to try!

However, I'm just having second thoughts...thinking maybe CSR would have been a better choice? I'm sure both are great but I was thinking about
*We've only stayed deluxe...CSR seems deluxey
*Pool looks more mature than POFQ, and definitely a better slide
*While it is bigger (more walking) that also means more to see and do...I'm afraid that 6 nights at POFQ we'd be bored since its a compact resort

Can anyone reassure me, or tell me I'm right to second guess my decision? :o

Have you given any thought to splitting your stay between 2 resorts? That way you could try them both and you will be able to decide which one you like best. Disney will even transfer your bags for you. Just a thought.

I looked into it....and what I found out is that it costs $350 more than staying at one resort :(

I'm getting the Dream Maker Silver package which complicates things...to switch resorts its considered a whole separate package!! I really thought that would be a great option too...but I don't think $350 is worth it!

You did not make a wrong decision because there wasn't a wrong one to make. Both resorts are good. I really like CSR and have stayed there several times but I would not pay more for it than POFQ.
CSR is not more "deluxey" IMHO. I do like the pool more at CSR (you are right about the slide) but it really isn't that important/different. You wondered if more walking meant more to see and do at CSR -I would say nope, just means more walking because you have to go around the lake to get anywhere.
So go and enjoy...you booked a great vacation and will be at Disney...does it get better than that???

:hyper:

Stay at POFQ. You'll like it... and since it has the boat ride to DTD, you won't be bored. Plus you can always go resort hopping and visit the other resorts.

:wave2: You'll have a great time wherever you stay! Please let us know what you decide and why you choose that way.:wave2:

I've stayed at both and feel that the POFQ is has much more of a deluxe feel to it then CSR.

Especially since the POFQ just received a full rehab everythings nice and new. When we stayed at the CSR our room was pretty worn in and the resort while pretty, it's huge!

I've only been to POFQ out of your choices but can assure you that after numerous trips (10 or so) to DVC resorts VWL,BWV and OKW, that were great-we will be booking POFQ for part of this August's trip without worry. Can't talk about other resort since no experiance but can endorse POFQ. Good luck -either way you can't go wrong

As you can see from my tag, I am staying at CSR. POFQ was the only other moderate available for my stay. However, the main reason I chose that over the newly remodeled POFQ was that CSR has the high speed internet access & POFQ doesn't. (need it for work)

Here's a bit of a balance as I see it:
* Although CSR seems more deluxey, POFQ is newly remodeled
* Although CSR pool may look more mature, a dragon slide is way cool
* CSR is bigger, but POR is the sister resort to POFQ, & I understand you can easily walk between the two.

I would no means try & talk you out of CSR, but I am trying to make you more comfortable with your first choice. If you go with Pixie dust in your suitcase, you will enjoy yourselves no matter which resort you choose.
