Kind of a lame question -- nametags?

If I remember correctly, I was asked if I wanted my school name OR my city and state on my tag. I think I chose city and state but now I think I'd rather have my college.

This question may be a little obvious but I want other opinions. If there is a decent chance that there will be people who try to read your name tag and will pronounce your name wrong should you just have a shortened form of your name, which can in no way be read incorrectly, on your name tag? Or do you just politely correct guests if they mispronounce your full name? Which option is better?

I like that my college is on my nametag, but it's also annoying, because most every guest that inquires about what school it is, is thinking about the wrong one I go to Mount saint mary in NY. there's a st. mary's here, a st. mary there...I now expect for a guest to not know which one I'm at haha.

Also, if you don't live in the state where you go to school, that could possibly annoy you too, since you might not really be proud of said state and/or know much about it. just something to think about. Also, previous poster who said "nametag is only thing you get to keep"...she wasn't really exxagerating lol.

Also, if it's a really long name they will abbreviate it. My DD goes to The International Academy of Design and Technology and they abbreviated it some weird way that she didn't care for.

Question.. If in Traditions I get my nametag with my school printed on it, and I want to purchase a new nametag with my city and state on it, would I get to keep the original nametag?

Where I accepted my role online for CP, they asked what name and what city/town and state I wanted on my nametag. I know they already have my school from my original application, though, so... who knows what will end up on there?!

I'm torn. I kind of want my town on there, as it's small, and I hope to get like... one person in all six months who says, "I know where you're from!! Great ice cream there!" I also want my school, though, but I'm wondering how it ends up on there. I don't want it to say just "University of Massachusetts" because there are multiple UMass schools. I go to a specific one with its' own colors, own teams, etc.
