Kim's new and improved life journal!

That's an awesome walk. I love the Garmin, it's so fun!

Happy birthday to the hottie :lmao: . I hope you have a great day!

Great job on getting your walk in, Kim!:thumbsup2

Please tell Mr. Mc Beaner that we wish him a Happy Birthday!:goodvibes

Have a great day,Kim!:cool1:

First of all, happy birthday to my other buddy!! now, please dont let him see people refering to him as hottie--we'll never hear the end of it!!!!!

Guys, I'm having a rough one.

Food still stinks. I did walk at lunch, but only one lap (1.5 miles) b/c my mind was just going 100 miles/hour. I am completely drowning at work and...

Gmom's not doing well at all. They found a mass in her throat today, but can't biopsy until they do a pacemaker first. Pacemaker is scheduled for tomorrow and hopefully biopsy Saturday. It's not looking good whether it's cancer or not, honestly. :guilty:

 Hi kim
I hope gmom is doing ok
My grandad is in hospital too today for a heart op. I'll keep everything crossed for both of them.
Hope your DH had a good b/day.

I haven't heard from my mom yet, but my dad said that gmom made it through both surgeries (yes, they did both today) and no trach. I'll update more when I hear, but for now I'm getting ready to go out & get my drink on. :upsidedow

Ooooo, party time :lmao:

Have fun, you deserve a night off :) Just make sure you come back and tell us about it so I can live vicariously through you! :drinking1

Glad to hear g-mom is doing better....prayers are being said!!
Keep us informed!

So, ya went out last night?? Or did ya stay home a do a marie? (just don't do the whole bottle...:headache: )

hope you're having a better day today....hang in there...everything will work out...i promise!!
Call me anytime....

marie

Hey guys!

Tracey - I hope your granddad is ok.

Gmom is doing ok. Surgery went well, and no trach needed. WHEW! Now we're just waiting to hear about the biopsy. :wizard:

Yes, we went out last night to this tiny little italian restaurant about an hour away with some of DH's co-workers. MAN did we have a blast! Drank more than I should've, but I needed that release, I guess. At least there were no cameras. Food was AWESOME!! (Bekki, I had italian bread, roasted red peppers w/provolone cheese & lettuce for app, baked manicotti for dinner, and chocolate death or something like that for dessert. Absolutely heavenly!!! :cloud9: )

And yes, I seriously need to get a grip on the food I'm eating. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow, and ONLY healthy food options are being purchased. Time to slap myself back into shape. I've been walking/running/beaning...but it's all for nothing if I eat twice or three times as many calories as I'm burning, you know?? :confused3 :rolleyes1

Very productive day today. DS had his first ever teeball game (so darn cute!) this morning, DH and I went to Home Depot to look for pavers to line the flowerbeds with, but we didn't like any. I ended up getting a big pot to plant some flowers (bought them too) for the deck (did that) and we also bought 3 tomato plants (then I weeded the tomato section of the backyard). Then I came inside and cleaned up a storm and I believe I will be crashing HARD within the next hour or so. :faint:

Wow! Sounds like you had a busy day! I think Dh & I need kids, so that we know what it is like to actually be busy the whole day :rolleyes1 We spent like 3 hours working and decided to call it a day :sad2:

Glad to hear your Gmom is ok! Sending :wizard: & pixiedust: that everything comes out ok!!

How does your son like Teeball? I remember HATING it when I was a kid!! I didn't last long, but then I have NEVER been the sporty type :confused3 What I remember is being Bored out of my mind waiting for it to be my turn for the ball :rolleyes1 Hope he likes it better!!

I know what you mean about needing to get a grip on the food. Sometimes we just have to let the stress get the better of us and Eat like crazy for a couple of days. THEN, We have to get it together and take our control back! You can do it! :cool1: I know you can! :cheer2: You didn't come this far to let a little bad food knock you off course!

I can't wait to see what this Bean thing is! Do you have a video that you do with it? Is it mostly Abs or full body? Sounds interesting so far.

Have a great week!!

Oh, yum...that sounds wonderful. :thanks:

Best wishes for a great shopping trip. it is so key to have good stuff in the house. I basically fall apart, eatingwise, if I haven't planned out everything and made a good grocery run. So weird that that is the key, but it really is!

Have a great nap!

He definitely gets roochy out in the field waiting for the ball. But it's SO darn cute!! They all run to wherever the ball is hit.

I took some pics of the bean, but I'm just wiped out after another busy day today (church, Atlantic City kids fair, house cleaning, laundry, gave DH a haircut, paid bills, grocery shopping, cooked dinner, kids showers). I'm just gonna chill out & catch up on some recorded tv shows. :goodvibes I'll post the pics tomorrow night after teeball practice. :thumbsup2

Gmom's still waiting on her results, but she has started eating some soft foods again, which is wonderful! Oh, and I don't know if I posted it here, but we had blamed the nursing home for her blood being too thin (we figured they mis-dosed her meds), but it turns out she was refusing her meds. Good thing we just "thought" our blaming and didn't actually go there & accuse them of anything. :rolleyes1

Another busy week coming up (am I ever NOT busy? :confused3 ).

Oh, but exciting news.....we booked a 2 night stay at the Hershey Lodge for the week the kids get out of school! :woohoo: Jay and I have been to the park, but never stayed there, and this will be the kids' first trip. This is supposed to be our family vacation this year (since they don't know about the November surprise). I'm pretty darn excited about the Hershey Lodge. I envision it smelling like chocolate.....

Have a GREAT one, guys!

My DH and I were just talking about Hershey, PA the other day. (When we were lost in Pittsburgh as a matter of fact!:lmao: ) That will be so much fun for everyone! What a wonderful "treat" for the kids at the end of the school year.:goodvibes

I'm glad to hear that your grandmom is starting to eat some soft foods again. Continuing to keep her in our prayers.:grouphug:

Hope you have a great week ahead!:cool1:

Second, your kids are so darn cute!!! Love the pics!!! Love the team shirts!!
Third, just in case you haven't been to my journal yet, he's pretty much a shoe in for the job! Don't have a start date yet, but out of 70, he's the only one going on Thursday for the physical & psychological tests!!

Have a great day kim!

Ooohhh, the Hershey Lodge. I bet it does smell like chocolate. I saw it on TV once, and the girl had like a chocolate spa day, including a hot cocoa bath and a chocolate wrap or something. Very decadent--but I bet you have a great time.

That bean is hilarious, but your DD looks like she's having fun :lmao: Thanks for sharing the pics of your kiddies!

Kim, glad that your Gma is doing better. McBean looks like it could be a cozy "hang out and watch Tivo" kinda thing:rotfl2: . Love the pics of the kids.

Good for you getting in running when you can. I'm in an awful slump, but hopefully we can both get back on track soon!:thumbsup2
