Kim's new and improved life journal!

Morning all!

Unfortunately I couldn't do my normal Monday morning workout today b/c I got my hair straightened on Saturday & I can't wash it until tomorrow. The grease is bad enough today without adding sweat into the mix (sorry, TMI! ) ewwww! I cannot WAIT for my shower tomorrow! :banana:

So this week I will work out Tuesday, Wed & Friday.

But I did do my home weigh in & I was 119.5, down from 122 last Monday at home. And that's pretty freakin exciting, if I do say so myself.

I'M BACK IN THE ONE-TEENS!!! :woohoo:

Thanks guys for all of your support (I sound like the academy awards last night ;) ). Seriously, your encouragement keeps me going.

No, I am as fresh as a summer rain today!! THANK GOD! That shower was soooo nice this morning!!!

I'm going to get a nice little hair cut now that my hair is straight. So, after that, I think I'm almost ready to post an "after" picture (hopefully no one remembers the before picture in this journal)!!!

yeah, lets see that new hairstyle!! my new years resolution was to let my hair gro out....not get it cut until my b-day! Well, that's today, and I'm going to try to hold out another week...or two..... :scared: of course, i won't be able to see by then!!

SHEESH, such pressure!! Soon, I promise. I have an appointment next Wednesday night to get my hair cut. Once I have a cute little "do", then I'll take & post a picture of myself. I PROMISE!!! :thumbsup2

And new haircuts are so much fun aren't they. It's like a fresh new you :teeth: . One-teens....Soooo jealous and yet Soooo happy for you. You rock girl! :cheer2:
 
OK...it was bound to happen, but I still didn't want it to.

I stayed the same weight this week at the nutritionist. Still 120 on her scale. :rolleyes2

Oh well. Like I said. I figured it would happen sometime. BUT - I refuse to call it a plateou (sp?). Just a bump in the road. I did "cheat" a couple times. Once I had 1 piece of pizza (no regrets on that one ;) ) and another day I had 1/2 soft pretzel, which was hard & didn't even taste good - which fortunately stopped me from eating the whole thing.

I did work out 3 times last week. Twice I did the eliptical & once I did some exercise videos off of Comcast On Demand (cardio kickboxing & abs - both 10 minutes of INTENSE exercises). Anyone else have Comcast On Demand? What a GREAT selection of videos as long or short as you want them, as difficult or easy too.

So, my plan for this week (although I weigh in with her on Wed & I'm cut a day short) is....

Fri - eliptical 30 minutes
Sat - cardio kickboxing & abs from C-OD (comcast on demand)
Sun - rest
Mon - eliptical 30 minutes
Tues - cardio kickboxing & abs
Wed - eliptical 30 minutes

WISH me luck...that's a BIG increase in exercise for me...but I think it's what I need not only to shed a couple more pounds, but to tone up like I want to.
 
You're doing great Kim!! No gain is the main thing!!
I think your schedule looks killer!! You'll be toned in no time!! 30 minutes on the eliptical.... :crazy: your legs are gonna be rubber, but if anyone can do it, you can!!

i know you get bitter when i dont come to your journal--so here i am!
You knew eventually that you would stay the same weight..120 is amazing and look at the things you have accomplished!
im very proud of you--okay enough being sappy :)
youre workout plan seems like alot, just be sure not to over do it! but now i will be looking at my comcast ondemand tomorrow!

Now today is over, moving on to tomorrow--just focus on that :)
 
Hey all! What an EXHAUSTING day!. We had DDs 7th birthday party at the house, and we had 24 kids. UGH - PLEASE PLEASE remind me to never do that again!! I am sooo tired.

I didn't get to work out this morning, so I'm switching my off day from tomorrow to today. I think it'll all work out fine.

I'm heading to bed early tonight, that's for sure.
 
Kim-i was wondering how the party went! Did Em have a good time at least?
I saw your IM, was helping a friend out and just got home--exhausted here too!

Hey Kim!!!!! Wow 24 kids....you are a saint LOL! We did the same thing about a month ago but it was "only" 15 six year olds. Oh my...I think that counts as a workout in itself!!!

Do you have any more information about the Dis Meet? I would LOVE to go. I think it may be the Allentown meet which would be great...my DH grew up there :teeth: .

Hey guys...YES I am still recovering. Had 1/2 the family over tonight for cake & will have the other 1/2 some time this week (DH's family is on vacation).

I did do the cardio kickboxing & ab workout today. Didn't want to, but didn't want to post that I didn't do it. And THAT is why I love these journals! :banana:

Tomorrow is back on the eliptical and home weigh in day. I'm not too optimistic about the weigh in. I'm not feeling that skinny feeling, but we'll see.

WELL...................

The gain has arrived!!! And what a way to ruin a perfectly good Monday.

Hopefully by Wed when I weigh in (why did this week have to be a short one? :rolleyes: ) I'll still stay the same from last week.

Maybe it's not possible for me to go down anymore? Yes, I cheated a little. But seriously, a little. 10 chips with a little onion dip. Should that make my scale go up 1.5 pounds from last Monday??? I don't think so! Maybe I just need to chalk it up to my body can't go any lower? I have increased my exercise...should that matter? I would think if I was getting some big ol' muscles that would be the case, but seriously, I'm not lifting weights here.

Well, I worked out Friday (30 mins eliptical), Sunday (cardio kickboxing & abs), Monday (30 mins eliptical). :thumbsup2

Still on plan to do cardio kickboxing & abs tomorrow & then 30 mins on eliptical before the Wed weigh in with Nancy. It stinks to be hoping I at least stayed the same.

Sorry for the vent. Thanks for sticking with me. :wave2:
 
aw kim--im sorry! i know it sucks to have a gain.
But I think it may be that you just cannot lose any more weight--you have done great, and have lost a lot of weight, maybe now you are ready to maintain?
Also, you are working out alot, and muscle weighs more than fat, so maybe you are just building muscle up
hang in there :)
