Hi guys!

My birthday dinner was GREAT! DH, DD, DS and I went to the Outback. Nothing special, but SO good!

I didn't get to paint, but I got a lot of Christmas shopping done this weekend, so I'm feeling really good about that!

I ran yesterday, and it was my first really good run in a while. I felt good the whole time, and my breathing was wonderful (after the first 10 minutes or so ). I had only planned on running for 20 minutes, since I had a sitter coming over to watch the kids while I went out shopping...but I was on a roll and felt great, so I ran for 35! (my sister and my sitter weren't very happy with me for running late...but who cares!!) I wish I didn't have a curfew because I really could've done a nice long run. This week is looking like a crazy one, so I'm not sure when I'll run next (probably not until Thursday), but I'm thinking I might visit my old buddy Bob from the Biggest Loser!!

Oh, and I saw a new Yoga facility opened close to me. I'm going to call and find out about classes. I know Amy loves it, so why not give it a shot!!

That's a great run!
DH and I did our 2+ walk tonight and I told him I'll be glad when the Dr. says I can start running again. I actually miss it....go figure!!
I have been thinking about Bob alot here recently as well....I'll let you know if he makes it over or not.

Marie - I can totally understand how you'd miss it! Some days it's hard for me to get out there & actually do it, but once I get started, I remember why I love it! You'll be out there with me soon! Gotta get you training for that 1/2 in 2008!!

Welcome back, Bekki!

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted much. This time of year literally makes me sick, I am so busy. My stress level is through the roof and I am itchy with hives almost every night, just sitting and thinking about all I need to get done. Next year (someone remind me of this) I want to save up some vacation time to use the week BEFORE Christmas to help me get ready. Or a day here and there during December. I always seem to save a couple days to enjoy with the kids after Christmas, but never remember that I need (for my own sanity) some time before too to get some things done during the day while the kids are in school.

Anyway, I also wanted to post an update on g-mom. She's back at her nursing home, and I hope to get to visit her again this weekend. My mom saw her yesterday and when my mom went in her room, my g-mom was visiting with her old roommate from her last nursing home. So I'm sure it's really good for her to be with some of her "friends". Maybe I was a little premature in thinking this was the end for her. Maybe it's just the next phase for her. Thanks again, as always, for your support through this!

Unfortunately, nothing to report on the running front. This weekend I will definitely be out there! The weather is supposed to be GREAT! And I also want to go pick up the treadmill from my IL's house, so I have it at my house ready to go!

This time of year is totally crazy, esp. when you have family issues going on...let alone taking care of your kids!

I really hope you have the time and energy to get out for a run this weekend. It's raining here, so I have NO motivation to go outside LOL!

I'm so glad to hear that your gma is doing better. Hang in there with the holiday craziness. It will all end soon. You can only do so much, and the rest maybe just didn't need to get done after all!

Definitely!!! Sounds good to me!! December in New Jersey is always beautiful! (actually this year it IS! Today's temp is supposed to hit in the low 60's! Last year on this day, it was a whopping 13 degrees in the am!!)
