Whew...where did that weekend go?

It was a crazy busy one!
Friday night - DD's soccer clinic was cancelled, so we went out to eat.
Saturday - HORRIBLE rain/thunder/lightening storms most of the day (yeah, Corinna - I gotta draw the line somewhere

). Got stuff done around the house and my mom took DD to the movies to see "Horton Hears a Who" as a late part of her bday gift. DS and I ventured out to the grocery store and then made a nice dinner.
Sunday - we all slept kind of late and decided we wouldn't rush to make it to church. I went out for a run while the rest of the house lounged around. I wanted it to be a longer run than normal - and it worked out well. I went 4.33 miles in 49.17.

Felt good the whole run (no leg pain), but I was feeling more and more discomfort as the day went on (hip, upper thigh area). So I did stretches in my seat at the Phillies game and lots last night. Feeling much better today.

The game was good. The kids aren't quite old enough to really care too much, so it was a lot of "when can we go to the playground?" and "I want a snack".

After the game, we went to Kohl's and had a good ol' time.

I just love that store.
All in all, a busy, but productive weekend. I'm feeling good mentally about the run I had and I feel like I might actually be back in this running thing now.
The trip is REALLY getting close! We leave two weeks from Thursday.

Time to start packing, right?
Jen - we usually go to one or two games a season. Jay's office has season tickets, so when they're up for grabs, we snag them.

Sorry I haven't been 'round much. You know how crazy my life is.
Stacy - Aren't those men funny? They just can't accept how time goes by. But we love them anyway.
Scott - thanks, as always, for stopping by.
Corinna - thanks for the cottage cheese tips. I bought a fruit combo thing and I'll give it a shot.
The plan for this week is to run Tues/Thurs and maybe Fri. I also want to get back to some other training at home. Definitely abs and arms and possibly the ballet conditioning again. WISH me luck!
