Anyone been? Our goal this coming trip is to break away from the norm and try places we've never been. We're sushi fans so we'd like to try Kimono's. Our group is older (kids are early 20s & DH & me) and adventurous so the kareoke may be fun too!

Thoughts pro & con?

The hubby and I tried Kimonos for the first time this past October. We're both sushi novices but thought the selection and quality were outstanding. And the presentation was gorgeous.

One of the reasons we tried it is that it received such high marks from people here on the DIS - it did not disappoint. :thumbsup2

LOTS OF FUN!!!! We stay in the Swan/Dolphin every trip and eat at Kimonos at least once or twice. The sushi is great and the service is woderful. We go early for dinner when we have the kids. Younger kids can be there until I believe it is 9 or 10pm. My nephew, who is turning 8 when we go down in July asked to eat there or LTT for his birthday dinner.

It is wonderful when there is a convention in town because after a few drinks those people will sing anything. Great for seeing after watching the fireworks at Epcot and having a late night snack.

You are so right about the conventioners. My husband and I are usually on 3 to 4 conventions a year. When those free drinks start flowing, most of them are usually a hoot and up for anyting.

Back on topic... I really want to give this place try. Sounds really yummy!

We've never been but we've always wanted to give it a whirl especially based on all the positive DIS reviews it gets.
