Kim Possible's World Showcase Adventure is wonderful!

I mentioned this in my debut but we did this World Showcase Adventure this past Sunday. It was so much beyond what I thought it would be. I won't spoil it but the Imagineers put amazing detail into the "clues" that are completely blended into the pavilions. I won't spoil it for you but I was thoroughly impressed. It was by far the highlight of my 9 year old's trip. She couldn't get enough. I wasn't expecting such cool effects to be put into the hunt. There were dozens of kids just like my daughter enjoying it.

The only potential downside I can foresee is that the phones have loud volume and I worry that with dozens of people doing it at once, some of the "atmosphere" in the countries could be diminished. I also had to remind my daughter a few times not to get tunnel vision and just stare at her phone. LOL althought this advice could be passed on to the hundreds of teenagers strolling park and texting too. hahahahha

Thanks so much for this info. I too have a 9y/o daughter and I thought this would be something fun. She is not 'into' the princesses (like she was during our last visit) and this looks like a great interest for this tween group.

It's just beginning this week! They were doing early previews this past weekend and I think the week before. I don't think it goes "live" and gets advertising until later this week or next. It should definitely be there in April!

How does this work? Where do you go to get a "mission"? Is there a limited number of people who can do this each day? Can you tell us more about the concept and process of participating without giving the surprises away?

I'm sure there is a limited number but I saw dozens and dozens of phones er.. Kimmunicators.

This is how it is set up. There are places in Future World to sign up for a start time. I did mine in Innoventions right at 9am and I got a 11:00 time to start (the time WS opens). There is also a place on the walkway (forgot official name) to WS. It will print you a ticket and tell you which Cart you should report to. Norway, Italy, or International Gateway (Not sure what country it says for this one or if it says International Gateway. That is where the cart is). You give them your card and they will take the cell phone er.. Kimmunicator and program a mission to it.

Then, your mission could be in any of the 7 countries participating. We went to the Norway cart and our first mission was in Mexico. It took probably 30 minutes to complete. The last stage in the mission was finding where to drop off the phone in Mexico.

The girls enjoyed it so much that we went back to the cart in Norway and scanned another ticket (You can initially sign up for it in the carts once WS opens but I recommend signing up your first one in FW). Since you are scanning your park ticket, I'm assuming they know which mission we have completed. Not sure. Our second mission was in Japan. After completing that one, we went to the cart in Italy and got a start time for our 3rd mission which ended up being in Germany!

I don't want to ruin the "end" for each mission but they are VERY cool and blend in quite well with the pavilions. If you want to know what happens, I'll answer in PMs because I don't want to spoil the surprise for people.

I'm very excited about this - I got to be one of the testers for this game back in 2006 and have been waiting ever since for the game to be back. I had 2 16 year olds with me and we all wanted to play again right after we finished!

I saw several adults doing it by themselves. I helped the girls for the first mission and my wife and I both found it to be very cool even if we had never watched a Kim Possible episode.

My kids just did one mission in England when we were there week before last, but they loved it. They had been watching other kids do it around the park and had seen some of the neat effects already and wanted to get in on it themselves. It was really easy to get the Kimunicator and easy to follow. My 7 and 10 year old only need our help finding one of the clues. I was following after them going to all the others. Amazing how those tired legs found all that energy!
