For you Quentin Tarantino fan's out there, he has done it again!

The movie was AWESOME! Far better than the Matrix Reloaded, IMO. This is the way fight scenes should be shot!

I would love to hear some more comments from others who have seen it! I may go see it again this afternoon. :)

I do not recommend anyone under 17 going to see it however. In fact, after screening it last night, I'm going to make sure we put people on the doors checking ID's this weekend at work.

All in all, it was so worth the wait for Quentin's 4th movie.

Wow....

I know that there are a lot of people who are wondering about this movie. This definitely doesn't sound like my type though. Even The Rundown which I enjoyed very much pushed the fighting scenes a little too much for me.

Ahh, no you probably wont like it then. It's extremely violent and graphic, per the usual Tarantino flick.

I can't wait to see it tonight!! Glad you liked it :hyper:

Have not seen it yet, but the previews look good and I will definitely be going to see it.

I know that you work at a theater, so you probably see most of the new movies that come in right? Have you seen the movie Intolerable Cruely yet? I think it also opens today. I know it is a far step from the Tarantino genre, but I also think it looks really cute. I love both George Clooney and Catherine Zeta Jones.

Our theatre actually isn't running Intolerable Cruelty but I do want to see it also! I love the Coen Brothers! I have the day off today, so I may go catch that one after Kill Bill again. (Of course I also promised to take Devyn to see Good Boy). We shall see I guess. 3 movies in a day may be a little much for me to handle!!! Although it's a rainy icky day here, so staying indoors isn't a bad thing!

Speaking of Coen Brothers, has anyone seen the trailer for Bad Santa? It kinda looks cute! (Not a Devyn movie I think though).

Bad Santa is defiantly a not miss since it's John Ritters last movie, should be great.

Can you give a summary of the storyline of Kill Bill without spoiling anything, if you can? I am really curious! Thanks!

I'd like to see it. I love the Coen brothers' movies.

Bad Santa sounds very promising, as does some of their other films coming out. Ladykillers and Fun with Dick and Jane.

They didn't write Intolerable Cruelty. As much as I love their film making, I really love it combined with their own original scripts.

We'll probably go see Kill Bill. I hate going to movie theaters though.

It's basically a story about revenge. Uma Thurman's character, "The Bride", was brutally attacked on her wedding day for wanting to get out of the assassin business. She was on the verge of death and was a few months pregnant at the time. So it seems she lost the baby and was in a coma for 4 1/2 years. Once she awakens, the only thing on her mind is revenge.

Be sure to stay after the credits too!

From the previews it looks very good. But, it must be pretty violent. Obviously from the name of the movie and the person directing it.

Exactly how violent is this movie. I am not into gory stuff.

Thanks
Lisa....

P.S. Has anyone seen Under the Tuscan Sun.
I tried to read the book and was bored to death!

I can't wait to see this movie. The previews look good and I've heard nothing but good things about it.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorta)

I know who I'm going to be for halloween now! Yellow Track Suit Uma!!!

I agree that it's the best Tarantino yet. I loved this movie. I went and saw it again yesterday afternoon. I love the fact that all the characters you've been exposed in depth with so far, you have a lot of sympathy for. You know that there really is no good guy/bad guy but you still see both sides and understand the "why's" of it all. The House of the Blue Leaves fight scenes are how Hollywood is supposed to do it. Blew the Matrix Reloaded out of the water with the fight between Neo and the Agt. Smiths, IMO. Even though, as comical as it was, the action was non-stop. I enjoyed every minute of it.

The soundtrack. Anyone know when it will be available. I was kinda of digging The 5,6,7,8's!! (The Japanese band playing at the HOBL).

Just got home from seeing it! Loved this movie and can't wait for volume 2. The fight at the House of the Blue Leaves was incredible.... kind of Pulp Fiction meets Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Be sure to stay after the credits too!
What did I miss? I stayed but someone at our theater messed up somewhere and cut off the credits a few seconds after they started to roll.

I had thought that I read somewhere that there was going to be a trailer for Vol. 2 after the credits in Vol. 1. I guess I was wrong though.....

Another WOW!! here.
Very graphic......but SO well done!
I really liked the different sytles of filming (in particular the anime).

Will be looking forward to the next part.

Have to say though, I wasn't too happy to see a set of parents that brought their children (they looked in the 5 and 7 year old range)
