Kilimanjaro Safari lion?????

Although BRADK already said it -- take it from someone who lives with four small cat varieties (non-lion size though they eat like them) -- most of the time they are asleep ... except for when YOU want to sleep ... then they are ready for playing or petting or purring.

Right now ... floor beside computer -- Peanut Butter asleep ... futon behind me -- Jelly Bean asleep ... couch in living room -- Maddie asleep. Snowflake is the only one that goes outside but he is on the stoop ... asleep.

Same goes for the lions ...... but they are sooo darn cute too!!!!

Good question though!!! Now just don't ask if the termite hills are real -- or the ostrich eggs. :)

So totally true. I have four house cats as well and three of them were walking around when I got up this morning. Now all four are somewhere sleeping. They will get up and be active in the hour my husband gets home from work and then disappear again. Then they will come out for about an hour when we are eating and then for another hour right before we go to bed. Fortunately, they all do sleep for the entire time we do.

I'd go with more like 20 hours a day of sleep rather than 18.

Our last trip up in May we were lucky enough to get in really early like 8:30 am and we got pics of the lioness standing and yawning-but in the pic she looks furocious with her jaw open-it was awesome. All our other trips we see fur on the floor behind a rock or a tail move-not very exciting-this was what we had be hoping for.

All the animals on the safari ride are real (except for the little elephant that is being poached :goodvibes ).

I love going on the rides and hearing people speculate about what's real and what's not! It's very nostalgic ('cause that's what DH and I were doing when we first started going to the parks :) ).

The lions are real - but some of the trees are audioanimatronic... ;)

Oh I know they are real, I ws just joking with you all.

the crocs are real. they just don't move too much. but pretty much anywhere you go where you see gators/crocs on display, people are always amazed about how unreal they look simply because they're not moving most of the time.

Okay, so I see someone already had said that all the animals are real, except the baby elephant. I'll have to look closer at those alligators next time;)

Just jump in and see... if you live they weren't real.:rotfl2:

(Sorry, it was too easy!)

Thanks for all the great pictures of the real lions.....I do believe, they are very real now. I guess it is part of the disney magic to get a chance to see him up and about....
next trip!!!!!

I was there last week and the lion is real - he yawned and stretched while we were riding by.

The best time to go is very first thing in the morning.
