Just wondering if any of your children diagnosed with AS are on any medication? Our DS9 has been on Abilify for 2 weeks now and - WOW! We have seen such changes! Glowing reports from his teacher - altho not every day. He does his homework without a lot of hassle...very minor meltdowns instead of the full-blown ones...able to reason with him more.. Things are not perfect but they are sure better than they have been!! We are wondering how things will go at Disney next week. It is a surprise trip for the kids - we leave the day after they get out of school. :)

My ds (10, will turn 11 in August when we're at WDW) is on Concerta for his ADHD traits and it also helps with his impulsiveness.

He also is taking a supplement regimen that includes vitamins, zinc, omega 3, and digestive enzymes. We are using a medication with the supervision of his doctor to help promote the excessive heavy metals in his body to be excreted. We've seen him calm down and focus more since beginning this treatment with him.

Along with the supplements we also have him on a gluten free/casein free diet. We've seen a big behavior change in him by taking these proteins out of his diet.
