Kids Shoes?

My 4.5 year old wore broken in stride rites. We actually brought 3 pairs of shoes - 2 sneakers and 1 pair or sandals. My thinking was that I could switch her shoes every other day (which I do as well as an adult because wearing the same shoes multiple days in a row has the potential for blisters) and we would have a back up pair so if one pair got wet, then we could take them out of rotation in order to be able to thoroughly dry out.

So I have a dumb question for those who recommend keens... Are those supposed to be worn with socks or not? Thanks!

Just make sure the child in question wears them a lot before you go so you can see the pressure spots. My younger 2 have fat feet and while they wore theirs quite a bit, my middle child got a few irritating spots and my youngest got them but not at Disney.

Good to know, thanks!

We went through 5 pairs of shoes with my DD on our last trip. We brought 2 good pairs of sneakers she had already broken in, 3 good sandals she had already broken in, and all of them didn't survive Disney. She walked, no stroller until her legs gave out the last 2 days of a 9 day trip. We averaged over 10 miles per day and each pair of shoes shredded her feet walking like we did. We ended up buying crocs at Epcot for her. They seemed to work best for her. I don't think there is one type of shoe that works best for everyone. It all depends on the person's feet. Bring. A few pairs to switch it up.

My youngest is autistic and has a hard time with heavy shoes. He loves Sport by Sketchers from Target. They're super lightweight. He will keep them on all day. Any others he takes off as soon as he can, he the car, school bus, grocery cart! They're pretty durable, too.
My kids have worn all kinds of shoes at Disney and never complained about them. Just be sure to bring two pairs and rotate them at least every 2 days.
