My boys (ages 6 and 7) need new shoes. They need sneakers as well as Crocs or some other summertime easy on and off shoes with no socks required.

Any Crocs deals? Any other shoe deals? I prefer to buy online.
What is "cool" these days in kids shoes?

Thanks for the help! :goodvibes

I buy alot of my son's shoes at Stride Rite. Great deals and they hold up well. Happy shopping!

Skecher's outlet is is having buy one get the second pair half off and buy 2 get the third pair free right now. I just went and got my boys' (6 and 8) each a pair. I even sprung for the light up ones, since there was a good deal going on: $56 with tax for the two pairs. The light-ups we bought were $35/pair. They had regular boys' sneakers for as low as $20 a pair. With half off the second pair, you could get out of there for $30 for two pair. I'm hoping that spending the extra $$ will mean that they'll last. I bought YDS a pair of light ups from Walmart in late April. He wore them every day until school let out (so maybe 6 weeks), but has only worn them about once a week during the summer. The sole is already worn out and has holes in it :sad2:. I'm hoping by spending the extra $10 a pair, they'll last a little longer this time. --Katie

For sandal type shoes try Children's Place online. I got DS some slip on water sneaker type shoes on sale a couple weeks ago for $8.
I also just got him some back to school sneakers, sketchers, from Sears but I also like Famous Footwear for his shoes too.

I know that there is a deal on crocs at Macy's just now. Should look at that! For 'cool' kids shoes, I normally see kids walking round in Nike or Adidas these days!

I am very strict about getting good shoes for my kids. My youngest already needs a orthotics. We stick with well made shoes like Keen. They both have a pair of regular sneakers. They also have regular Keen sandals, the kind with a closed toe so they can wear it to camp and school. They both have crocs they can slip on and off for quick errands or the beach. I have found with cheap shoes they wear fast and often oddly so if they do manage to not wear out after one child the wear is still too much to hand down.

I'm a big fan of Stride Rite. We have an outlet near us that is awesome! They have all their summer style shoes on sale right now for GREAT prices. Their styles are much more modern than they used to be. They are also associated with Sperry that makes a really nice kid's sandal. DS5 had this shoe this summer and it wore well and held up great. Just bought back to school tennis shoes there. They have a nice selection of Velcro one which is what we wanted to get for kindergarten. I would think on-line stores would also have some of the same sales.

My DD wears Pediped shoes, Stride Rite and Keen. Pediped are my fav!!

We have a store called rack room shoes at our mall. They sell crocs and nikes and a bunch of other brands and they always do buy one get half off. I don't know if you have one in your area or not.

If you know what sizes your kids need, then check out shoebuy.com. Right now thru 8/15/12 they have 25% off shoes. Usually their best deal is 20% off, so this must be a back to school deal. You can order one pair per order if it makes it easier for you since it's free shipping for everything. If it doesn't work out, it's free return shipping (download UPS label in browser). Sometimes the deals work out, sometimes the price is still a little high but I always check this site. Also check out all of the usual cash back sites (Ebates, Fatwallet, Shop At Home, My Deals and Coupons, etc.) Happy shopping!

Famous Footwear is having buy one get one 1/2 right now. I got a pair of twinkle toes for my older dd and a pair of nikes for my younger dd and dh. Total spent 115.00. I still have a pair I can get 1/2 of threw the 19th of next month I bleieve. My younger dd really wanted twinkle toes but she can't wear that type of shoe due to her feet issues. I honestly don't like them because they are proabably one of the worst sneakers out there. But my older dd is all about fashion.

We got my DD8 shoes at Shoe Carnival - got buy one get one 1/2 off plus had a $5 off coupon i printed form online - got two pairs of shoes for $50 - a pair of DC tennis Shoes and Eastland dress shoes

Where did you find the 25% off code? I'm only seeing 20 right now. Thanks!

I think it's for anybody who goes to their site. If not, just DM me w/ your email address and I'll fwd my email to you. Also Shop at Home had 17% cash back, but doesn't necessarily pay when you get such a good discount.

I finally got an email last night with a link to the 25% off. There is no mention of the code though. It seems to only work from the email.
In my experience w/ this site, if you shop thru the email, and put something in your shopping cart, a code of some sort will show up when you look at your checkout page. this works if you just type it in the promo code box. Delete the shoe you put in your shopping cart. Keep the window/tab open, then if you want to try to get CB w/ Ebates or other, re-shop, then plug in the code. it should work. Good luck!:thumbsup2
