Kids Running + Camera = Black Eye

Has anyone else ever been beat up by there camera. Yesterday, the wife and I took our 2 girls to the local zoo to check out this new water play area they just put in. In the process of shooting my 18 month old, a young teenager came charging through and ran straight into my camera jamming the eyepiece into my eye. Has anyone ever had an experience like this?

Ouch!

Not like that, no. But I was shooting my son swinging once and took his feet to my chest.

Ouch! It's one of my biggest fears when standing at the end of the field shooting soccer games. I always try to be aware of where the ball is, where it's going, and where the kids are running.

ouch!!! that sounds painful! I always worry about that too.

That sounds painful Photo Chick. The eye felt pretty bad. Today it was really sore. Everyone was making fun of me at work. I was just sitting on the side shooting my girls from about 20 feet away and bam. I would've never thought I would be hit by a running teenager sitting on the curb. I can say that the eyepiece is a tough piece because the impact was so hard I had to check if my lens mount was broken.
