Kids on Illumination Cruises

Has anyone taken their children on an Illumination cruise ?
Did they like it ?
How old were they ?

We have a 14 & 11 year old. Too old for Family Magic Tour. Too young for the Behind the scenes tours - ages 16 and up.

We were considering an Illumnation Cruise for a special night.
We already have HDD PS - our kids voted for it over Poly's Spirit of Aloha.

I surprised my family (parents, brother & his family) along with my DH, DD-12-, DD5 last year for the Illuminations Birthday Cruise. Everyone loved it. The kids ranged from 8months,2,5,6,10,12. Thanks to this great site, I found out about the cruise. I did the birtday cruise because it was my DH, DD,DD, father birthdays and my parents 40th wedding anniversary (all in the same week). It was 12 of us all together so it was well worth the money not to have to stand and wait in order to get a good seat. When are you going?? My only worry was that during the day it looked like it was going to rain (Florida summer thunderstorms) but everything turned out perfect. If you go, remember you can spilt the cost with another family.

bring a video camera....it was great...my parents and older brothers and my family of 4 will never forget it!!!

Yes and they loved it. In 1998 we took 6 kids ranging from 9 months to 11 years old. Last year we took the same kids plus 1 more ranging from 1 to 16. They all loved it - the show is great and the driver let them each take turns driving the boat. It was a great night.

It's a brilliant thing to do, and great for kids of all ages - we shared with 2 other families - my dd was 4 1/2, there was a boy around 9 or 10 and 2 teenage boys and they all seemed to enjoy it. My dd got to help the driver drive the boat, which was definitely the highlight for her.
