Two boys 5 & 7 who would love watching them prepare the foods with knives etc. but would they eat the food? If chicken is grilled not fried, foget it. Can you order pizza or pbj?

I happen to be looking through some souveniers from our trip in FEB. and my DD4 at the time wanted me to keep the menu from Teppanyaki. She loved watching the chef and had a great time. There are two things for kids. Shichi-Go-San ... chicken or shrimp with grilled fresh veggies steamed rice and child dessert or Donald's Favorite ...Grilled chicken breast with mixed veggies and steamed rice. Dinner$ 13.99 and 6.99 respectively. Our DD is somewhat picky so we had them grill the chicken w/o the sauces and she ate the plain chicken and steamed rice with a little salt. The veggies are the same as the adults get and they were not allowed on her plated so she informed us. She really did have a good time. You know your kids best but I hope this helps.:)

Dh and I always liked it here but unfortunately there isn't much in the way of typical kid's foods. The two items mentioned are all that's available at this restaurant:(

Wish they'd offer chicken fingers or grilled cheese for that matter...I mean the chef could throw it right on the grill while he's cooking everyone else's dinner:hyper: but as of our last dining experience there when dd was 3 this wasn't an option:(

I'm glad they don't offer the typical kids stuff, it forced my picky DS to try the food and he actually liked it.... he does like grilled chicken and steak. I did take ketchup to the restaurant as I knew this would help.

We always tell DS to try something and if he really doesn't like it we will get him something else later.... or we frequently give him a yogurt or fruit before we go to a restaurant so he has had something healthy before hand. And I usually carry peanut butter so he can have that on a roll or bread although that trick won't help at Teppanyaki!

We had a great meal there and both my kids really enjoyed the experience.
