I thought anyone could order off the kid's menu at WDW restaurants. I was just reading the Sci-Fi Dine In menu and saw that the kid's menu read "for kid's 9 and under". Has the policy changed?

Most people don't seem to have a problem although a few posters reported being charged extra and in some cases getting a larger portion.

The cost of food is not the majority of the cost of running a restaurant. Restaurants price children's meals below their normal margins to encourage famlies. Some restaurants go so far as to allow children to eat free. Many restaurants won't extend that courtesy to older guests, even if they want small portions.

I always got the kids menu, aside from being very bored with seeing the same chicken drumstick everywhere I went I had no problems!
