Kids Meals

My DS9 will have just turned 10 when we go in November. I have noticed all of the menus and buffets consider a 10year old an adult. Will they be strict with the age thing? My other son, 11, can out-eat-me; the last time we went to Disney when he was 7 he would eat his kid's meal and then finish my adult meal. I don't mind paying for him, but, my other son (who will have jsut turned 10) just doesn't consume that much food. I would rather not pay for 4 adult meals.

I quess at some places we can just order appetizers and sides, but, what about the buffets?

I don't think they will allow that..I know I am taking a 14 year old, and she eats like a bird....except at breakfast Age cut off is age cut off...I am pretty sure to that somewhere they know the ages of everyone visiting the World, well, maybe not over 18...but the children. I hope I am giving the correct info...good luck

If your child is 9 at the time you check in, they remain 9 (in the eyes of the DDP and buffets) for the entire trip.

If your child turns 10 before you go, then they are 10 for the entire trip for DDP and/or buffets.

If you dine at regular TS establishments, then you are welcome to order off of the children's menu.

This is helpful information! We are considering a trip the week of DS's 10th birthday. We were planning to be truthful, so he could wear a birthday pin and not have to lie when people asked. Before your post, I wondered if we would have to pay one rate for the first half of the week, and another for the rest. Thanks!

for the responses. I quess I will contine saving my pennies for food and try to order appetizers and sides when possible. We will not be doing the DDP so I quess that will help. We only have 1 or 2 buffets planned, I'll just make sure we are extra hungry.
