My DS9 will have just turned 10 when we go in November. I have noticed all of the menus and buffets consider a 10year old an adult. Will they be strict with the age thing? My other son, 11, can out-eat-me; the last time we went to Disney when he was 7 he would eat his kid's meal and then finish my adult meal. I don't mind paying for him, but, my other son (who will have jsut turned 10) just doesn't consume that much food. I would rather not pay for 4 adult meals.

I quess at some places we can just order appetizers and sides, but, what about the buffets?

Thanks for the help.

I don't think they will allow that..I know I am taking a 14 year old, and she eats like a bird....except at breakfast:) Age cut off is age cut off...I am pretty sure to that somewhere they know the ages of everyone visiting the World, well, maybe not over 18...but the children. I hope I am giving the correct info...good luck

If your child is 9 at the time you check in, they remain 9 (in the eyes of the DDP and buffets) for the entire trip.

If your child turns 10 before you go, then they are 10 for the entire trip for DDP and/or buffets.

If you dine at regular TS establishments, then you are welcome to order off of the children's menu.

This is helpful information! We are considering a trip the week of DS's 10th birthday. We were planning to be truthful, so he could wear a birthday pin and not have to lie when people asked. Before your post, I wondered if we would have to pay one rate for the first half of the week, and another for the rest. Thanks! :)

for the responses. I quess I will contine saving my pennies for food and try to order appetizers and sides when possible. We will not be doing the DDP so I quess that will help. We only have 1 or 2 buffets planned, I'll just make sure we are extra hungry.
