Kids marching with the parades?

Do any of the parks still offer the opportunity for kids to march in the parades?

When I was a kid (mid-90s) we were in WDW on my little sister's birthday (and my birthday had been earlier in the week). My mom signed us up to march in the Aladdin parade at MGM studios. We went backstage without our parents, and there was a group of about 15 kids. We were given costumes to wear, and then we marched with the parade and waved to everyone. It was such a cool experience - I felt like a celebrity getting to go backstage where the parade was being set up and then having all the people at the park taking pictures of us and waving at us as we walked by.

I know this couldn't have cost very much, if anything, because my parents never would have spent a lot of money on something like this. Does anything like this still happen? thanks!

Not that I know of. At MNSSHP, they do let the kids do a mini parade before the actual parade starts, but that's the only somewhat similar thing I know of. Fun idea though!

No. However, I have seen kids young enough to dress in costume dress as a storm trooper and march lines up behind
Phasm’s troopers just after the cast members with the rope at the end. This isn’t something (usually) arranged with Disney; the kid just falls in line after they march past the stop point halfway down the street. Anyone is allowed to follow behind the rope and a large crowd does follow them up to the stage.

There's not even much in the way of parades any longer.
MK is the only park with any parade of any sort
There's no opportunity to march in the Festival of Fantasy.
They do have some dancing and such prior to some of the parades but that's about it

I'm not sure what all they offer with the new parade that replaced Move It Shake It. While it's not marching you could get out and dance and play during it. I assume they do the same with this one?

Nothing like what you’ve e mentioned but there’s the Frontierland hoedown mini parade where they encourage kids to join in
