Kids Loved TRex!!

Our kids 7, 5, 3, and 1 absolutely loved TRex in Downtown Disney! I was worried that they would be scared, but they keep talking about it, especially my 3 year old! He says it was the best place we ate and we ate at 5 character meals! We didn't have a wait at all ( we were there on a Monday night around 5:00), we were seated in the main room with the dinosaurs and the kids loved the "thunderstorms"! The food was ok, but expensive. We would definetly go back!

Our kids also loved it. We had great service, the food was good and the kids loved to walk around looking at all the dinosaurs!

I'm glad to hear this! I really want to take my kids here in June. I know they'd love it (especially my 9 year old DS!) It's on my list!!

I think those thunderstorms are actually to simulate a meteor shower or comet strike. Believed to have caused the extinction.
We as four adults dined there on 11/22 and loved it.

We went last Wednesday & had a great dinner! We walked right in at 4:30 & there were lots of empty tables. The kids (6 & 2) LOVED it & weren't afraid at all. We were in the ice room, right next to the wall the wooly mammoth is on. Whenever the meteor shower began, the waterfall would begin putting out steam...which drifted right over our table. The kids enjoyed that part, ate really well, & we had a great server.

We will definitely return next trip

YAY I am so glad to hear this! I am super excited to take my kids (2 & 7yrs) there on our trip next week. I thought the pictures were AWESOME and the place looks HUGE! Glad to hear you walked up with no problems.. we are hoping for the ice room... so cool! I do expect a rain forest experience.. (hopefully the food won't be quite as bad lol) I know we are paying for the atmosphere, and I don't mind if it is really reeeeeaaallly cool!!

I would imagine the same as a Build-a-bear since it is the same company. most animals are under the $25.00 dollar range and then the sound box, clothes and other add on are extra. My son built a dino at a build-a-bear location and he is super excited to get a "friend" for him! I am SOOOOO happy they have a "build-a-bear" in WDW now it had always been a favourite souvenir for us at Disneyland.

We are taking our 4 kids the night we arrive at WDW on Dec. 13. It's a surprise, but I know they are going to love it! Especially my son who is Dinosaur crazy!

We found the pricing to be about 20% higher than Rainforest Cafe. The food quality was also about 20% better.

We didn't find it loud except during the meteor shower. During that time even the waiter couldn't come over to talk/take our order.

It does get pretty loud during the meteor shower. Luckily they don't last too long, maybe a minute.

Does any one know how much it is to stuff a dinosaur?

2 of our kids opted to use their souvenier money here. Our total was $77.50 and included 2 dinos with clothes.

The dinosaurs alone ranged from $18-$25.

The Rainforst Cafe at AK and DTD are still open and have not moved. The new T-Rex restaurant is close to the Lego Store at DTD. It, as the RFC, are not included in the Disney Dining Plan.
