I am aware of how the clubs work, this will be our 2nd cruise with DCL. My question however is this.

We are traveling with a total of 5 children (2 families). 4 Out of the 5 are ages ( 8,8,9 10) there is 1 who will be 7 just 3 months away from 8 y.o. Do you think DCL allow him to be enrolled in the Lab instead of the Club?

Has anyone had any personal experience with this. It seems so unfair to be so close and your brother and friends to be together :grouphug: and he would be alone! It will make our trip awful if he can't be with them. He will not in any way go alone to the club "I know it" so we may be in for a not so pleasant cruise if they won't budge on the 1 month rule! But I would like to be as prepared as possible.

On the other hand will they let the older ones join in the club? If we need to we will enroll them all in the club so they can stay together.

Thanks for your replies.

I am almost certain they will let him..Just be very honest. They did this for us, and told us it was on a trial basis..Fine with us..They did let us know, that a child can only be moved once, so if it did not work out, he would go back down..No problems..Everything worked out..

In my experience, the counsellors will bend over backwards to try to do anything possible to easen it for the kids, and yourself..

Hope that helps.. :goodvibes

Just talk to the head counselor when you first go to the club. They want the kids to have a great time. When my 4 yo DD didn't want to stay, they offered to move her up to be with her brother in the 5-7 group. I never would have asked them to do that but they wanted her to have fun too.
