How do you get your kids to be invited to join in the parade? I heard this is something that can be done, anyone know how?

Thanks

I don't think it's something that you can intentionally do... However, here's our story..
Two years ago we visited WDW. We were in AK, in line to meet Donald Duck. Previous to going on our trip, I had researched fun things to say to the characters in order to get special reactions from them. Anyway, my girls played it up with Donald Duck. They told him that he was their favorite, and they knew that he was really the star of Disney. They suggested that Mickey give him more time in the movies, etc... Of course Donald ate it all up. Upon leaving the meet and greet, a CM pulled us aside and asked us if we would like to ride on a float in the parade that afternoon. Obviously, we said YES!! :)

Our kids were picked during the MVMCP parade back in 2004. They wanted NO part of it! We weren't doing anything special so maybe there we just so cute :teeth:

I wanted to yell out "I'll do it!! I'll do it!!"

Many kids have an opportunity to be in the Family Fun parade. They pick the kids around the castle area (towards the tomorrowland side.) It's a cute parade. Here's a pic from last Saturday.
