Do people from the UK take ID for kids under 10. I have read various threads from americans talking about ID, is it necessary and if so when would it be likely to be required?

no, kids don't need id. I phoned Seaworld to check because we were told we would need id to redeem our annual pass vouchers, and where told that as long as the adults had id, that would suffice.

I don't think most US kids would have id either.

No, you don't need ID. They go on the honor system.

We do have some very aggressive ID programs for children over here though. Photo and fingerprint them. My DS (age 7) has had it done three times. It's for if they're ever lost or abducted. :(

I went to WDW in August and was never asked for ID for the kids (8 & 11). This was a good thing as they don't have any apart from their entries on MY passport!
