Kids ID bracelet do-it-yourself style????

My mother bought Disney lanyards from a dollar store and put I'd tags on them for my kids, with cell phone numbers on them.
The only prob was they didn't like getting wet but was no prob if you tucked it into their shirt

Well, I may be ghetto, but DD will not wear jewelry, doesn't like bandaids (so no tattoos, either) and i really don't feel like ordering expensive iron on labels. I work at a hospital, and we use the soft, papery (but super strong) temporary armbands. Im gonna swipe a couple of them & write her name & my cell on it. She won't be able to pull it off, or I'll hide it under her sock.

Thats also a great idea. I thought about that, but since she likes jewelry i figured she could wear these other times too.

Mine likes the IDEA of jewelry (she will be three in September) but she considers it a toy, and she would break or lose something 'real' first thing. She's going to flip out about the hospital armbands, too, though. Weird sensory issues, wont wear anything on her head or in her hair at all, can't stand tight, stretchy clothes around her chest (like smocked tops) or banded elastic leg bloomer type shorts, screeches about wrinkles in socks, even certain fabrics flip her out. I figure if i put them on the outside of her socks, she wont feel it & maybe won't freak.

I told her that she needed to be like Woody in Toy Story & have a name on her somewhere so people would know who she belonged to. She looked at me like I had two heads, yelled, "There's a snake in my boot!" and took off. :headache:

I ordered the arm bands one year when we took several grand kids to WDW. The outside said "If I'm lost remove me", or something like that. Then on the inside we wrote our cell phone numbers. The kids were instructed that if we got separated they were to go to the nearest CM and show the arm band. We also made sure upon entering each park that we pointed out CM's to the kids....
