Any ideas about a ID bracelet for kids? I don't have time to order any and my dd and ds would fiddle with them and probably lose them. I had thought about making a "friendship" bracelet with small beads with my cell #. How much is too much info?? My dd is 4 rys old and at this point is EASILY sidetracked especially if she REALLY wants to see something. We are going for Star Wars weekends so I know that there will be much heavier crowds than what we are accustomed to. Any ideas or links to share??

My last minute idea was to write my cell phone on the white inside of our DS5's shoe. I really was not thinking I would do anything and he knows our cell phone # but when we got there (New Years week) and I saw the crowds, I seconded guessed myself. It was perfect, stayed on all week and he knew exactly what to do if he got lost, show his shoe to a CM. Be sure to show he the CM's and make sure she knows what to tell or show the CM.

Last trip I bought bracelets off of etsy that had our cell phone number on it for both kids. At one point I did have to put it on my sons ankle instead. This trip i bought temp tattoos on etsy. The kids loved them.

We really like SafetyTats. I know some stores keep them in stock, but you may be able to get some quick shipment online. The designs are cute and they really last.

Do any local stores have those Dog Tag engraving machines? You could get one of those with your name and cell number, then put it on a handmade friendship bracelet that they can't take off.

There was something like safety tat's maybe more a bandaid, at AAA stores. Some Disney cars and other themes. I wanted to get for dgs, he got anxious when asked what they were for and I said in case he got lost....
dumb move, should have just bought and used them. Just concerned about the moments he stops to look, or a crowd goes through us.

Go to a pet store and make a "pet tag" with the information. We have done the safety tats and plastic id bracelets and this is by far the most practical. Most machines have a option to get a key ring attachment when you purchase the tag. You can attach it to a belt loop or shoe, or put it on a necklace. :thumbsup2

My DD is 4 now, but we've done the "pet tag" the past couple of trips and she does fine with it. I will use a key ring and put in into her belt loop on her shorts or a zipper/button hole of her shirt and tell her to show it to someone if she gets lost.

The last trip we were there, my DH found an engraving machine in Downtown Disney where she had a new one made (she was 3 and thought it was a really cool new necklace!) with Tinkerbell on it. He put her name and our cell phone numbers on the back.

This - is what we did as well - Walmart has disney designs and if you can't get to one there are machines all over WDW you can have one made on the first day.

We put my dd's on the loop of the sneaker - it was out of the way but noticeable for a CM if needed. It can also be looped through the bathing suit strap (we did it in the back top) for a water park or on the loop of a water shoe. My neice didn't like hers on her shoes so she wore it via a carabener (sp?) on her belt loop - again visiable to a CM.

This last trip we found them at the Hard Rock and my neice thought they were Sooo cool she wore it as a necklace !

Do you remember how much it cost?

Where at WalMart? I assume it would be by the keys in the hardware section?

What a great idea. Thank you!

My kids got personalized leather bracelets while at Disney. They sell them at several locations (Canada in Epcot, near the safari in AK, possibly others). They each got to pick their own color/style and they had their names and a Disney character charm added. The cost was under $10/each.

I just used a permanent marker to write my cell phone number on the inside of the bracelets. (Of course this only works if you kids are old enough to show a CM the number)

They made an inexpensive souvenir and the kids wanted to wear them, so it was easy to remember to put them on every day. (Middle DD prefered to wear hers around her ankle instead of her wrist.)

wow..i never thought about this. I will have to do something similar for my granddaughter who is 4, for when we go. She does love jewelry an would probably not have a problem wearing a bracelet.

I was just going to use a sharpie and write my cell # and their names on their forearm. But I like the dog tag idea!

I just got the ones i ordered from etsy. I got 2 matching ones, one with her name and one with DIL's cell number. Pretty pink ones with a little princess crown charm on the one with her name. She is almost 5 and in to wearing jewelry so i think she will keep them on while in the parks. Both were only $10 with shipping.

Could you post the link to the etsy store? I am looking for something for my dds. Thanks!
