Kids @ GF Spa

I was checking out the different spa treatments they have at the Grand Floridian Spa. Some include treatments for kids 10 and over. Does anyone have experience with them allowing younger (9.5) kids ?? I know many of the age restrictions are for Safety etc but for a manacures and facials I can't see any reason. I won't lie about her age, its not worth it to me. But I am curious to know if anyone has been able to get their younger daughters a manicure or facial, w/o fudging the age.

Hi,
We were just there this past June/July and my then 5 year old daughter received a manicure and pedicure. It's called my first manicure and pedicure and it is for ages 4 and up to I think 10. She loved it!! Any questions, let me know!

Thanks, thats good to know. The facial say guest 10 - 14 so I assumed the manicures would be too.

The official WDW website lists the following (this was at the GF):

Designed for our guests 12 years of age and younger to introduce the basics of good skincare and the benefits of creating a healthy lifestyle.

Fun and educational treatments include My First Manicure, Pedicure and Facial. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during massage and body treatments.

WDW2002, I'm not sure when you can book spa treatments. The official WDW website states the following:

We are happy to help you choose the perfect combination of treatments for your spa experience or packages are available for your choosing. Call on our Reservations at (407) 824-2332†, 8:00am to 8:00 pm Daily.

Hopefully someone here on the Dis with first-hand spa knowledge will post how far ahead someone can make a spa appointment.
