Kids for free!

I got my first pin too! I called yesterday and booked POR 4/3-4/8 5 nts. and 5 non-hopper tickets, with dining for 5 of us (2 kids were free) total came to $2565.91 Anyone know how much the insurance is, I know its included but I didn't know you could have it removed? Thanks

It showed up as $133 for our family of 5....not sure if it matters how many are in your party, but it was on the invoice they e-mailed me.:thumbsup2

I just thought of another question I had. My husband just started a new job so it's possible he won't be able to get the time off. Since this offer is based on adult double occupancy, could they consider my 11-year old the second adult, and then the other two kids would be free? Does that make sense??:confused3

Your child IS an adult, so he would be charged for adult tickets and the adult dining plan. The room portion of your package is one rate so that would be the same regardless if you have 1 adult or 2. Your other two kids would be free.

I'm surprised that people don't understand the "double occupancy" thing is just an "example" since most traveling parties consist of two people.

My point was that this deal is based on adult double occupancy. For example, if I would go by myself with the two younger kids, I'm sure they wouldn't give me both kids for free. I wasn't sure if they would consider the 11-year old an adult for purposes of THIS OFFER.

I haven't called to get a quote yet, but I did my own calculations and it looks like it would save us about $650 over rack rate. This is going for 5-nights, 6-days, with two adults, one junior (who I still have to pay for) and 2 kids - looked at POR.

Think I'll call today, just to confirm pricing...

Just to update, my math was wrong! Called today and was quoted $2,421.65 for 5-nights/6-days at POR for our party of 5 (two kids free). This is a savings of $570.54 over rack rate. Still seems like a good deal since it's peak season. :cheer2:

Again, the price reflected on the deal is an example based on double occupancy, it doesn't stipulate how many adults *have* to travel. So even if you had one adult and 3 kids (a kid is age 9 and under), the kids would still ALL be free (provided you aren't over the one room occupancy limit). There is nothing that says you need to have an adult for each free child.

Possibly, but I imagine the rate for that single adult would be much higher than the $794 advertised!

The room rate is the EXACT same whether you have two adults or one adult. Oy vey..I'm not explaining that anymore since people don't get it :rotfl2:

This is not an offer for a room rate - it's a package deal. Nowhere does it break out what the room rate is - it's for room, tickets and dining. Maybe it's just the room rate that is discounted, but the offer does not state that.

I will call Disney and get an answer straight from them.

The deal is for free children's dining and park tickets.

There is no discount on the room.

There is no discount on the tickets.

There is no discount on the dining.

The room price which is incorporated into the package is just that, the room price, which would be rack rate.

If you have 2 adults traveling, the package may be $794 EACH (depending on when you go), for all of the above components.

When you have 1 adult traveling, the price is more than $794 but less than $1588 (the price of two adults) because you aren't paying for the second persons tickets or dining. But as one person, you are not splitting the room in HALF (which makes up the per person rate as shown in the example) like you would for the double occupancy example. So like I said earlier (maybe this thread or another), ALL disney deals still work for single travelers, you just have to *understand* it.

I hope that clarifies!! :goodvibes

Hi all, new to board.

I just booked the same promo I also got via email.

Staying 4/5-4/9 at allstar music. 2 adults, 2 children 4&6. my quoted rate is $1,587.66, including dining plan and daily tickets for all. I placed my deposit, and wondering how good of a deal is this?

Also, they offered to upgrade dining plan to the Deluxe for additional $400. any thoughts?

Lee
