Not direct experience but we've done regular fishing excursions from Yacht Club while staing at BVC and BWV. What I can tell you is what I learned from the fishing guides who run both. I've worked with three different guides and they all "get it" that it really needs to be a kid oriented experience. They are concerned about whether there's enough activity to keep the kids interested and involved. They generally take 1-2 hours. They take bait, usually hot dogs I think, and try to catch a lot of fish. I think it's mostly bluegills but they told me that bass will be caught pretty often doing this. If your kids are interested in fishing or you think they might be it will probably be a nice experience.
