Will WDW be doing MNSSHP that early in September? A few years ago it started in the middle of September not at the beginning of the month.
Forgot to add that we did full days most days. I purposely stay until closing or later as I'm allergic to smoke and with the crowds leaving there is always someone lighting up as they head to the buses. My niece would sleep in the stroller most days. I gave up quickly on heading back to the room for a nap as it wasted way too much time and she wouldn't sleep in the room she would wait until we were on the bus-either from the parks or on the way back to a park. The monorail would always put either one of them to sleep. I could at least look around in shops, resorts, etc. while she slept.
EPCOT is probably a good park to head to later in the morning if you need a sleep in day. They also have Illuminations in the evening so hopefully your kids will be able to stay awake to see it. Plan a movie/show in the afternoon or a quite ride (the Land) and hopefully one or more kids will fall asleep.
You definitely want to be at DHS for opening. Split up and have one parent grab FP for TSM and the other take the kids that want to do Jedi Training and get in line for that. We never actually got to do it because of rain but were signed up.
