Can someone please advise me....I have read on several posts that dress clothes are required in the dining rooms. Is this for all of the restaurants and at all meals or just dinner? Unless my kids go to the clubs every night, I can't imagine trying to get them dressed up every night. They prefer shorts and jeans. We are only going on a 3-nighter on the 27th. This is our 1st family cruise. Help..have to start planning and packing. :earseek:

This depends on the ages/gender of your children. While jeans are generally not acceptable, Khaki's along with a polo-style shirt are a fine choice in the dining rooms for boys. Girls can get away with khaki pants and a nice shirt, or a casual dress.

On a 3-nt, there is no formal or semi-formal night, so "fancy" dress clothes are not required.

We did the 3-night cruise last week and my DS8 (as well as most boys on board) wore khaki pants and a polo-style shirt. I discovered that my son's dress shoes were too small the night before we left, so he wore his new navy suede-type sneakers. I felt so guilty about his not having nice shoes but when I looked around at all the other boys shoes, I discovered that the majority of them were also wearing nice sneakers. (BTW, thanks to all the board members who reassured me that his shoes would be fine!)

My girls 7yo and 3yo wore capri's and short sets. They did wear a dress at Tritons. They dressed nice, but not real dressy. They fit in just fine.

Sorry should have listed the boy's ages....10 & 6. Khakis it will be--thanks! I am also glad to hear about the shoes. DS10 just also got a new pair of Vans! He will be thrilled to wear them!
