I finally made it all the way through this thread. I am amazed at the talent so many have! I don't have enough post to PM, would you mind emailing me the instructions for the overalls and the socks! My email is heidi@paradisebound.org

Thank you!!!!

Here are some of the accessories I have for my dd. I just found a great seller and ordered a gorgeous "ultimate princess" bottlecap necklace as well as a set of princess bottlecap necklaces with organza ribbons.

I will post the necklaces I just ordered when they come in. They're so cute and it was a splurge!

those are great!! especially the jojo circus set! i just bought some bottlecap jewlery instructions and can't wait to get started!! i wish our trip was longer this time, i have so many ideas and not enough days, lol!!

I know there had been some discussion about hats for the summer. Saw today that Target had red, white and blue bucket hats in the $1 section. These could be really cute with some Mickey appliques and ribbons!

They also sell plain bucket hats at Michaels (craft store) right next to their plain t-shirts. You could dress those up, too. I was wondering about trying the Family Fun Solar Shirt idea (discussed in the DISigns forum) on a hat. The shirts turned out cute. ;)

By the way, you all inspired me to try a pillowcase dress for my DD3. I finished it a few hours ago. As soon as DD gets up from her nap, I'm going to try to get her to model it. Hopefully it will go okay. She picked out the fabric (Nemo) but I tried to show it to her in process and she cried, "No want that! It's yucky!" So... this might not go quite as planned. :rolleyes1 Gotta love three year olds! ;)

I listed the Cinderella set a while ago, and I just wanted to show you all the Aurora set that I made to go with it. I didn't finish the skirt yet, maybe later today...
Lisa

PS- sorry about the horrible photos...

Lisa -- as always, your sets are amazing.

DD woke up from her nap and.... she likes it! Hooray! It's a little shorter than I expected, but still cute. I'm not sure what happened. I took a dress that was a length I liked and measured the length. I expected it to fall mid-knee and it's really above the knee, but since she's 3 I think we can still get away with it. Or maybe if I get really daring, I'll attempt white capris to go underneath. ;)

DS (almost 7) asked what I'm going to make for him out of Nemo fabric now. I told him I might be able to make him some shorts. He, however, wants a Hawaiian-style shirt (button-up). Heaven help me, I think buttonholes are out of my skill level!

Does anyone know if anyone does Mulan outfits? My dd is 8 and LOVES Mulan. WOuld love to find something for our trip.

You should list them! I just closed about 36 auctions. Everything from some clothes of mine to dd's and baby carriers, etc. I make almost $1400.

I think I'm going to. I just got back from an out of town graduation. I think I'll sit down tonight and list it and see how it goes. It was super easy so I could make them in a flash if they would sell! I doubt I get $1400 though!!!!!

Lisa-
I absolutely love them. They came out perfect. I know my little princesses will be so excited to get them.

It's so funny that you found them...LOL. The Aurora one isn't completed. It still needs the waistband, and the ruffle on the white part, and trim on the pink, and maybe stars or something above Aurora's head... They really look much cuter in person, I don't know what's with my new camera.
I have so much sewing to do, but the weather is so nice, I took my DD's outside to ride their powerwheels today. They were so excited. I have been so busy, that lately the answer has been no....:rolleyes1 But today they got their fill of sun, fire ants, and arguing over who's riding what...LOL.

I PMed you!

I plan to have a Mulan/Chinese New Year custom made for my daughter later in the year. We plan to be at Epcot on Chinese New Year next year to celebrate and I think that will be gorgeous!

LOL! I bet you'd make the best pillowcase dress ever seen. ;) I followed the instructions at this site: http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/2004/06/done_is_better_.html (someone else posted the link earlier in this thread.) It has you starting with a ready-made pillowcase, but thankfully, pillowcases are something I can handle! ;)

Someday, I will definately try it. I saved the website just in case. I would love this style with a top, and maybe a pair of capris with little ties on the legs. I can't wait to have some time to sew for myself. I have this great fabric that I'm going to make into Animal Kingdom outfits for my girls. I also have 2 unfinished projects sitting here, well....someday...
