HLAuburn, I love the Snow White dress. Very nice!

Here is my Snow White inspired jumper top and shorts.

This is a twirl skirt I found on ebay and it is so adorable I had to order 5 more (Princesses, Dora, Care Bears, Ariel, and Mickey). The tee was designed by "cutiesnana" on the Creative Disigns board.

I LOVE the twirl skirt - so cute! I found those on eBay...good price too! What size did you order? I saw on your signature that your DD is 2, but it looked like the seller had mostly 3T-4T. Does she do smaller sizes? How full and long is the skirt?

Thanks!

She does make smaller sizes upon request. My skirts are a 2T (18 inch waist; 10" length) and very full. They are so adorable!

Has anyone here listed anything on ebay lately to sell? I am considering putting the Winnie the Pooh pillowcase dress I made my dd up to sell and am wondering if it is going to be worth the trouble. Dd would rather have a skirt. I think she's too cool for a pillowcase dress now that she is the big 5!

Okay, we have done outfits and necklaces and bracelets, and even shoes. How about socks and headbands? I've seen some cute ribbon socks, and beautiful jeweled headbands. Anyone make these?

Ps I love the Snow White outfits!

I just listed LET'S GO FOR ICE CREAM OVERALL'S . They were custom made and forgotten in my closet. They would be perfect for a pic with the kitchen sink at beaches and cream but they are a size 6-12 months and they are a liitle too small on my daughter now. I cleaned her closet and was soo sad to see lots of stuff we didn't get to wear and now she outgrew.I guess it goes back to being sooo darn excited to buy girly things after having 3 boys first

Does anyone know of a pattern for the twirl skirts, like Simplicity or McCalls, or would I have to look in YCMT? I have never ordered one of their patterns and don't know how easy they are to follow. I just love this thread --really inspiring.

:lmao: Sure...I live in Wisconsin....It's almost 90 here today, so I don't think anyone would want to come visit.

:woohoo:

Oooo, I'd LOVE to come if it's only 90 then....we've had two 106 degree days this week (the rest hovering at 100), and it's supposed to "warm up" this weekend. Yep...it's summer already here in Arizona. HOT HOT HOT (and no we don't dance to this tune, moving is too exhausting).

I can't imagine someone paying $400 for an outfit for a kid that's gonna outgrow it in a few months, even a year wouldn't justify that. I've got ONE dress in my closet from long ago that cost dearly, but I can still wear it (well, assuming I'd ever put on a dress again, lol).

My motto: Blue Jeans, $15, comfort, priceless.

I am gonna jump in. I cannot sew. Well not sure if I can, got an A in sewing class in 9th grade. That was a few (kidding myself, sadly more than a few) YEARS ago. I am afraid to buy a sewing machine only to find out that I stink at it...KWIM

I do love Disney customs though. You ladies are GREAT at finding & or making such cute sets!!! I look on ebay and don't have much luck finding such cute sets compared to everyone on here. I am searching for sets for our trip in Dec.

Here are pics of what we had for our last trip

What my girls wore to MNSSHP, it was so hot so they ended up taking off their socks...

I haven't had any luck finding a really full twirl skirt pattern from Simplicity, Mccalls, or any of the store bought patterns. I think you will have the best results from YCMT. I have several of their ebooks and they are very easy to use.

graciegirlie,
Your outfits are adorable! Did you find these outfits on ebay? I love the halloween skirt!

:lmao: I know what you mean. I spent about $300 on Courtney's Aladdin outfit and once I got it I swore I would never spend that amount of money on an outfit again...and I haven't! I have learned shortcuts and how to do it myself and the outfits look identical!

The Cinderella outfit I'm making went for over $400 on Ebay....$400?!?!?! :scared: And I'm making it for about $25.

Thanks, LadyRob. Do you have a name or number for the skirt pattern? I've seen the one with the vertical strips, but I like the one you posted a lot better. My DGDs are 6 and almost 8, and I think the 8 year-old would wear one of the twirly skirts. I see all these beautifl outfits and my DGDs are just about too old for them and I'm sad!

Everyone is soooo talented and creative and I'm so envious. I just need to sit myself down at the machine and do something.

I found that skirt on ebay. I will pm you the seller's name. If you want to make it yourself, the Euro Patchwork Twirl Skirt on YCMT looks very similar.

The dress is very cute but your daughter is gorgeous!

Here is DD's Snow White costume that her grandmother made. She's going to wear it on the cruise for formal night I think. I mean, other than Halloween and DisneyWorld, how many chances does a girl get to dress up like a princess!? princess:

You should list them! I just closed about 36 auctions. Everything from some clothes of mine to dd's and baby carriers, etc. I make almost $1400.

I wish I could do it. I have a maching but zero sewing skills. I have pieced together a quilt top with it but that is the extent of my ability. I just bought two more customs off Ebay with some of my proceeds from last week. I have two favorite designers and I think I'll stick with them. I paid over $100 for one that I recently got and it's cute but not *that* nice.
