how did you do the buttons? i made a super cute dress that's the same style as that one, but a shorter skirt part, and I can't figure out the "easy one step button hole" option on my machine. anyone know what else I could do?

Why not just practice on 2 layers of the faric you are working on? If not, a good alternative, and one I use for baby clothes, is to just use plastic snaps. They are lightweight and wash well. Then just sew the button you like on the outside for the effect.

I know if you go to Disigns. There are tons of these designs. They will even make one for you, with your or your childs name. I have never seen so many designs in one place before...incredible...very talented people there.

I couldn't tell if that was the iron-on (if that is what it is). The reason being is if it is doesn't it need to be printed backward so the name will read right? Been there and done that and made the mistake -- lesson learned. Just curious.

i tried that and the sewing machine was sucking the fabric down into the teeth, lol. it does say in the manual that you need stablizer (which the dress has) but i'm scared to try it out on the dress. how do the plastic snaps attach?

Here's an outfit I made for my daughter (top and ribbon skirt) for our Epcot day!

She's SO cute! My little cousin is from China, too...so sweet, and SO smart!

Did you make this pink and green outfit? It's adorable. If you bought it, would you mind sharing where you go it from? If you made it, will you make me one, too! :rotfl:

Hi,
I didn't make them. I bought them all off Ebay. I will PM you with the seller's id.

Thanks!

You don't have to flip the imagine backwards if you use dark transfer paper. You only have to flip when you use white transfer paper. Doing iron ons is really really easy!!! I did 5 shirts each for our family of 4 for our trip last fall and it was so easy. I used transfer paper from ebay. Worked way better than anything from Walmart/HobbyLobby/Michaels.

If you want tips, read on the disigns board. They tell you exactly how to do it.

I am sorry I am just now getting back and noticed the couple of questions. The tshirt is an iron on and I used dark transfer so I didn't have to flip the image. Yes there are lots of cool designs on the creative disigns message board that's where I got the idea to do the fairy one.

I don't like doing button holes and try to avoid them, on my sewing machine you turn the dial to which step in the button hole process you are in and the sewing machine does it. I have yet to make a really perfect one but I guess since they are covered by the button I let them go. Hope this helped.

I love the Epcot outfit that is really neat!

boohoo, this must be the girls everyone talks to me about- I have sons, and everyone tells me it's more fun to dress the girls than the boys! Up till now-I didn't see their point,as most casual clothes pretty much aren't fancier than the boys....:lmao: ;)
you ladies are incredible, and your girls look adorable!
If anyone tells me that again,I'll send them over here, and they can see the fun they're missing with their girls!:rotfl:

Thanks! I looked on eBay and couldn't find anything like it. :( If you get a chance and you could PM me the seller's name, I'd appreciate it!
