Just wanted to share some jubilee!! Hooray I found some Minnie polka dots fabric at my Hancock's! They don't have any online, and I thought I was just out of luck and had waited too long. The gal that was helping me told me about it and I bought the whole bolt...just 3 yards left which is plenty for a basic yoke dress for DD7!!! I am so excited I just can't express it! Gotta get that machine hummin'!

Hi All, just wanted to post the finally completed Ribbie outfit.
My daughter loves it...Too bad she doesn't get to keep it...LOL...:rotfl:
Lisa

My four year old was standing here when I was looking at your pictures. She said "Ooo Mommy I want that!". lol

Blessed Be,
Tina

I think my next photo will be of the inside of my daughter's closet. She has one of everything that I've made in the past 2 years. I literally have to wrestle her clothes onto the rod. This year, I vowed to not add to it. She has a 4 year old sister that gets the hand-me-downs, so I always feel like I never get rid of anything. They have a least 100 times more clothes than I do, if you could see what I'm wearing right now, you would think I got dressed in the dark, :lmao: When, I'm home sewing, I just wear whatever. And yes when company comes over, unannounced, I run to put on something that at least matches.

For those of you who applique or machine embroider do you have a favorite type of thread to use? I just got the disney brother sewing/embroidery machine (and totally blew my budget for the month because of it! Oh well it is mothers day soon!) and I need to figure out how to best use it to start making some of these outfits. Any hints??

Ok I have to know where you had the photo taken with Blues....my son would go nuts for a photo like that!

We had it taken at Nick Hotel last year. September is Nick Jr. Month and they have a meet and greet with Joe and Blue. We actually ran into (Donovan Patton) Joe on the elevator after DD (then 3) pushed the up and down buttons on the elevator before I could stop her. I was worried we would be late and not be able to get in to the show because we had to ride up 7 floors and back down again, when a hotel CM and another womand got on and then
he stepped onto the elevator, he is as nice as he seems. When the CM was teasing my 7yo DD about missing her top and bottom front teeth my daughter smiled and told her she lost them and Joe asked her "Where did you lose them ?" That's the first time I've ever seen DD7 speechless and shy. :rotfl2: He was nice and posed for a picture with her (dd3 was being shy and would'nt be in the picture, then cried when he left :confused3 )
At the show when it came time for pictures and it was their turn Joe said " It's my elevator friends !" It was most definitely a highlight of the trip for them.

Blessed Be,
Tina

The dress came out great and looks adorable on your daughter. I'm waiting for the picture of the animal kingdom one. You really shoud display some of your work somewhere I bet you'd have a list a mile long just by being on this website. Keep em coming. We love to see your new outfits!!!!

I have two boys and your thread is making me wish for girls:cutie: Girls clothes are so cute! yes I could try for a girl but the thought of 3 boys scares me to much:scared1:

i signed up for their email notification and it was in stock last week and i quickly bought 4 yards :woohoo: working on dd dress now!!

I had two boys and eight years after second boy...SURPRISE...and a girl. While the clothes are way cuter, and she can be sunshine and light....the DRAMA...well it might not be worth the clothes!!!

I finally made something...a t-shirt dress. Simple just cut off the bottom of the tshirt, and sewed fabric around. I am trying to make a pair of bandana pants for DD from scratch. I don't have a pattern, am too cheap to buy one, so I bought 6 bandanas at WalMart for 94 cents each. I figured I 'd get the hang of it. My son has a spring program, and its a Western theme, on Friday. Yep this Friday, so of course I'm gonna try to figure out how to make her a pair of pants tomorrow. I wanted to give myself plenty of time, so I wouldn't feel rushed:lmao:

If all else fails, I'm gonna cut another t shirt off, and add a couple of the bandanas for the bottom. I have at least figured that out. I've never posted pictures before. If it gets made, in my spare time, I will figure out how to post the pics, and then all of you will be able to see my crooked sewing!!

I haven't made anything since Peter Pan last September so today is my day to get to work! I think I'll do a quick Diego (cheating with a pillow panel). I have never done one that way, but thought it might be cute for Universal. Although I think a Dr Suess would be way cuter! I just don't have much time before we leave! I know not disney, but I love watching all the outfits and need to get something made!

I know I showed (this that a word? :confused3) you all this outfit before, but I was relisting it today, and came across more photos. This was our Animal Kingdom outfit from last year. It's amazing to see how much my (not so little) one's have grown.
My new Animal Kingdom outfit is on hold. I ran out of fabric (is that even possible...LOL) and won't get to the fabric store until the weekend. So in the meantime, I'm working on a halter top, with this Mickey fabric that is to die for. I bought it a long time ago, and saved it for the perfect outfit. Well, I never thought of anything, so I'm just making a halter top and some simple capris. I will show photos of it this weekend. I should be finished with it by then. Happy Sewing everyone!!

Been there-- done that:rotfl:
I know exactly how you feel about the girly clothes, though. We tried again, have 3 boys now.
Love them all--can't imagine life without them all.

I had my friend make another pair of Stanley overalls for my DD.

She even made a little Great Big Book of Everything!

I almost did Stanley earlier when I sat down, it was on tv and thought he would be so quick and simple, but I stuck with Diego, it is done, it doesn't look much like an outfit i usually do. I gotta figure out how to get it to frey (?sp), I put heat and bond on it and of course this time it actually stuck!

Castle creations, I was looking through old posts, and saw you mentioned some silver material that you were going to use to do Epcot. Have you done this and I missed it?

Kind OT, but boy am I glad this thread got back on topic. In the middle, there is so much argumentative stuff. I'm glad we got back to pictures and compliments and help!!
