I love this outfit. Where did you buy the fabric? If Handcock Fabrics do they sell it online?

PS... For those looking up things online at handcock fabrics make sure you include fabric in the url lol:scared1:

I didn't see it on the website, only in the Hancock store. It's with the kids cotton prints. Both of them were $4.99 a yard.

Hi Michelle!
I'm in Rossford! Glad to have a DIS-er close by. At least we have a fun addiction right?!? I'm driving my DH crazy with the constant DISboard on the computer. Glad you're joining us!

Has anyone down a pirate themed tulle skirt? I was thinking about having a friend make one for my dd who will be 8 for the pirate and princess party.

Would you go with the red/white striped fabric for the top layer, black tulle, and than white fabric for the bottom?

Any suggestions?

That sounds good the way you have it or you can find a pirate print for the top, tulle in the middle, stripes on the bottom. Use the stripes to make a matching corset top to go with too and just wear over a short sleeve tee.

ohhh good idea :) THANK YOU!!

I came across a print on ebay with skulls and roses... that might work.. of even the treasure map one..

I saw the pirate skulls with roses at Joanns. I didn't check the price but with a coupon, it would be cheaper than ebay! Gotta save money since we have to have these outfits, shoes, bows, necklaces, bracelets, autograph albums...... Where does it stop?:rotfl2:

I posted this before, but since we're talking pirates pirate: I thought I'd post it again. I bought this set for DD for Pirate night on the cruise and for MNSSHP. It's more of a costume than an outfit, but I think it's so cute! Maybe it will give you some ideas.

I've seen red and white striped fabric at Hobby Lobby, and I know Hancock carries it closer to Halloween.

They have the skulls & roses at joanns but are sold out of the map print. At least here anyways. I used the skulls & roses last year for several pirate costumes I made. Some people thought it was a bit harsh for little ones but I liked it (dark sense of humor) and it would be perfect for an 8 yr old!

There is this great plack and white simple skull material, I got a joanne's. I would use that for the top and put an embroidered mickey on the front side of the skirt, put red white and black tulle for the middle and the bottom put the red and white striped. Oh I think I may make one of those!!!

There is a PofC fabric. I used it for halloween last year. I saw some last week on clearance in Joannes.

Here's a few pictures of a pirate's set I did awhile back...

Hope this helps and inspires someone! :goodvibes

Your outfit is great! And your daughter is so cute with the bows, that is what I miss the most because my daughter has already given them up!

Oh, thank you. :goodvibes I know what you mean about the bow thing....My daughter will be 6 in September and I'm already dreading her giving them up. My next child in line is a boy, so no bows there....My wonderful husband, bless his heart, has agreed to one more baby, so I hope it's another girl! princess:
