Love the photo from Scrappy! Great Gift. Megan is adorable with her doll!

Thank you! I saw it in the department store for 50% off and grabbed it. Jacob thought it was so neat that Scrappy got him a present but then he said, wait, did you help him buy it? LOL!

Here's some Christmas pics:

This was Christmas Eve in front of the tree:

A Christmas Eve family pic. I need to put some lime green Mickey heads on us all and change my siggy pic!:

Tessa opening her new scotter! You can tell these are authentic Christmas morning pictures from the unbrushed hair.:
ASCOOTER.jpg

Tessa checking out her loot from Santa. Santa didn't get quite enough to fill her stocking, so he went scrounging around the basement for almost new stuffed animals she hasn't seen for a few years and may have forgotten about...:rolleyes1 :
lookingaththeloot.jpg

Sawyer's favorite gift was a toy vacuum cleaner and Tessa's was the scooter!

We also had some pseudo-family over for dinner. They brought a friend, who brought a dog. This was a cute, sweet, little pomeranian who proceeded to pee on our floor 6 times within 10 minutes!!! Henry then tied it up outside and when the owner let it back in, it pooped on our floor and peed 2 more times before Henry put it back outside. Bear in mind that these people never asked to bring their dog. Why do people think it's okay to bring their dog to other people's houses without asking?! This happens to us all the time. Yes, we have a dog, but she is housetrained!!! Even if your dog is perfect at home, it WILL poop on someone else's floor. It's a rule in the dog world. Does anyone else think this is a problem, or am I just being too picky?
I love the pictures. Your kids have the most beautiful eyes!
THe story about the dog is just pitiful. She was very rude!
Okay, as I mentioned before, somewhere in the night Christmas Eve I must've been feeling guilty because I did not get to make as many doll clothes for DD as I'd wanted to (the poor thing had no skirt to wear with her peasant top!) I had an idea pop into my head. DD got the American Girl Julie for Christmas. She is the newest "Historical" doll--from the 70's :scared1: Yes, makes me feel old. Who knew the 70's were historical? So I was thinking a denim skirt would be cool. Now DD10 tears the knees out of nearly every pair of jeans she owns, so I thought, why not chop off the bottom of a pants leg and stitch in a casing, throw in an elastic, and voila! I had to wait 'till morning to make sure it would work (make sure the pant leg was big enough around). Sure enough, the easiest skirt ever! No seams, no hem, just a casing and a piece of elastic. I'll have to try this with other pants! I used boot-cut jeans. I don't know if straight leg would work.

Here is the chopped off just below the hole in the knee jeans leg:

And modeled by Julie:

Julie says "hey" to all her Ivy friends out there! (They are BFF in AG world--yes, I'm too involved :rotfl: )
THat is a great idea! Very cute skirt.
I hope you all had a verry MERRY CHRISTMAS! We had an early - yet wonderful Christmas morning - the kids were up at 4:15!! YIKES - we held them off as long as we could - but it was still only an hour later. Here are a few pics from our morning - this is what I look like when I get up at 4:15!! LOL! I did get a serger for Christmas - I am a little frustrated with trying to figure it out - so I haven't really played with it yet!

Wishing you all a very blessed New Year!!! :goodvibes

Wow great playroom! I love the Family photo! All your Christmas Customs are adorable!
A Blessed New Year to you too!

Hi everybody. I am a daily lurker and very infrequent poster on this thread. I wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoy looking at your creations and reading about your lives. I totally feel like I know you all, but in a creepy non-stalker way!

My name is Molly. I am 3oyo and live in Delaware. I have two dsd's (16 and 11) and two ds's (3 and 1). I work weekend nights as a nurse at a psychiatric hospital (which is surprisingly enjoyable) and am going to grad school full-time to be a family nurse practitioner. I have loved to sew and craft all my life. I have a disney brother embroidery/sewing machine and have recently fell in love with machine embroidery.

Christmas Eve in their new jammies!

Brooke (my 16yo DSD), me and Sammy. Taken with Brooke's new digital camera, her favorite gift this year. This picture further solidifies my resolution to actually use my gym membership this year!
Brooke027.jpg

Thanks for looking! I hope to post some actual sewing projects soon. I'm on winter break until February so I want to get some creative urges out now. I've been totally inspired by the quilts posted by utahmommy and spongiemommy. I have been buying Disney fabric like crazy on Ebay. Now I have to get to work.

Your boys are adorable! I love those matching jammies. That train is too cute! Looks like a lot of fun to ride on. Your Stepdaughters look like sweet girls.

And finally the Reason for the Season....the birth of my Lord and Savior:
IMGP4739.jpg

Amen to that!!! Its so easy to get lost in everything thats going on and forget!!! THanks for the reminder!

Does anyone know where I can get small scraps of Disney fabric? I mean I dont even need like fat quarter size or anything. To commemorate my big bday (ugh) I'd like to make a sweatshirt to wear to work with 40 mickey heads on it - each with a different fabric if I can find it - I'd love to wear it to work to show the kids - they'd have a ball with it (i work at a childrens hospital) - i'd say I have about 10 different scraps here already (i can make the mickey's all different sizes)...do you think any stores sell scraps like that????? thanks for your help!!!

Wow a lot of you got new sergers or sewing machines for Christmas. . . :goodvibes

Here are some photos from our Christmas. . . I was exhausted yesterday because we started out at my Sister's house on Christmas eve and then stayed up til 1:00 am then, we were back up at 7:30 when DD came in our room and told us that Santa came.

Then off to BIL's to have Christmas with DH's family.

Finally, Christmas morning and a big mess of paper

DD with her doll in matching outfits and DS with his Jack Sparrow belt. Most of his gifts were Pirate Themed.
My niece loved her blanket. Her mom kept trying to put the blanket back in the gift bag and she kept saying "no Mommy, my blanket."

I can send you some small scraps. Do you mean the size of the Home Depot mickey heads? I could probably cut them out and send them out of my many scraps here! PM if you want them.

This cracks me up: how sweet! Were you just brimming with pride? I love your daughter and her AG clothes: cute! The matching scottie dog outfits are just adorable! And you son is just the cutest pirate!

Thank you! I was so glad she liked the blanket. My nephews didn't pay a lot of attention to theirs. My Sister-in-Law was trying to say hey, look what Aunt Nancy gave you, but they were fascinated by the transformers their other Aunt had given them. But my Sister-in-law really was glad to get the blankets for her boys.

It's a good thing my DS is cute, he kept getting my Sister's Husbands family to play sword fight with him. Luckily they have little boys so they know what to expect and they had fun with him!

Hiya All....I haven't been online much this month because my Christmas gift came early this year.....a beautiful baby boy!!! He was three weeks old yesterday!!!! He truly is the best Christmas gift we have ever been blessed with!!!!

Maybe I can get caught up on this thread during midnight feedings!! LOL

Wow!!! Boy are you lucky!! All Santa left me, were some dumb old presents...LOL
Congrats on the new little one!!! Enjoy every minute!!

:
It was pretty funny watching Henry chase the dog around with the spotlifter (it wasn't the spotbot as I said before). He did put the dog outside- twice. But, she get letting the darn thing back in. He was afraid it'd chew up something important if he left it in the garage. Did I mention this was a 7 month old puppy?
Nope, you didn't mention it was a puppy. I'm sorry, but that lady was an idiot.

and Gavin's step mom talked himinto getting a hair cut after he'd had it trimmed and the lady BUTCHERED it. It was really silly looking, like someone put a bowl on his head:rotfl: He wants to grow it back out though.

...t.

gotta love those stepmoms! He looks adorable though. I don't think he could look bad, no matter what!

I wish I had that set!! I love it!! I did this one for my neice and I need to do another on for DD before our February trip.

IMG_1853-1.jpg
IMG_1856-1.jpg

I think Maureen (Camping Griswalds) has the other set. Someone else may have it too. I seem to remember 2 different people posting it.

Sorry about that, now, I'm thinking it was Karen, I can't think of her username though. She has an adorable little blonde daughter. As I recall, her daughter ate an entire Mickey bar without getting any on her.
ETA: OOOOH!!! I found out who has one! MommaPooh217 Wooh, I'm glad i don't have to worry about that all night! Here's a link to her post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=21025036&postcount=14887

I don't have any wedding pictures on the computer but here is an engagement picture. This was before the stress of parenthood made dh bald and me fat!

Loved seeing all the pictures! How cool to have Santa come visit personally and hand out the presents! What a memory that will be!

Here are a few pictures. Princess Leigh had been playing photographer earlier and changed all my camera settings, so this is the best that I have! Oh well! My fault for not checking!

She loves everything that she got, but Butterscotch is her absolute favorite!
She asked for it last year, but we didn't get it, and it was number one again this year on her list. She screamed with joy when she got up and saw her by the tree!
Now I guess I will need to build a stable to house this huge thing!
that is too cute . a stable how funny

And to stay on topic on this thread, I did make a custom top for Leigh to wear on Christmas Eve.
th_Christmas2007007.jpg

th_Christmas2007008.jpg

I also made some personalized pillows as gifts this year. My niece, Mom, and MIL loved them!
th_Christmas2007002.jpg

I just really have to remember to plan earlier next year! I made all the pillows and the top in one day, and unfortunately they didn't turn out as "perfect" as I would have hoped! I am working on my "perfectionism problem".
Everyone that received them thought they were great! So I have to remember that one man's perception of "perfect" is not the same as the others!
At least they did know that a lot of love went into making each one! And that is what made them "perfect" in their eyes!
i love the santa leopard , and what cute pillows

Happy day-after-Christmas everyone! Megan woke me up this morning dressed and with her backpack all ready for school. She said, Christmas is over, time to go back to school! It is going to be a long two weeks.

Here are my Christmas pictures.

Megan got the swimming baby and was very happy:

Bwaahahaha! That was my 2 boys plus their 2 boy cousins ALL day! We had to pry the DS's out of their fingers to get them to eat! They HORKED their meal only to return to the exact same activity!

This morning, my boys started playing without getting dressed or making their beds. Wrongo! They had to eat, get dressed, clean their rooms, and feed the dogs BEFORE playing!

and to stay OT, CUTE Pj's!!!! Lily-:cutie:

b.) Yah, that was me! My throat is feeling a bit scratchy tonight actually!
D.) That is tricky. Corey doesn't want to celebrate Christmas, but Brian is a Catholic, so he takes him to church, buys him presents, takes him to the parites, etc.... That was one thing Corey actually said to me, "I don't want to celebrate Christmas anyway." Brian is a very good Dad, he does what he thinks is best as far as the religion thing goes. I dont' happen to agree with his religion, but I respect him for doing what he feels is right.

I don't have any wedding pictures on the computer but here is an engagement picture. This was before the stress of parenthood made dh bald and me fat!

We had a great Christmas this year. On December 23rd the boys and I made cookies. Rolling and decorating sugar cookies with a 3yo and 1yo sounded better in theory than it worked out. They had a great time but my floors might be crunchy with colored sugar until Easter.

Thanks for looking! I hope to post some actual sewing projects soon. I'm on winter break until February so I want to get some creative urges out now. I've been totally inspired by the quilts posted by utahmommy and spongiemommy. I have been buying Disney fabric like crazy on Ebay. Now I have to get to work.
wow the floor will be sugary and then come easter you will have the egg dye to match :rotfl:

Hiya All....I haven't been online much this month because my Christmas gift came early this year.....a beautiful baby boy!!! He was three weeks old yesterday!!!! He truly is the best Christmas gift we have ever been blessed with!!!!
