This is GORGEOUS! You did a FABULOUS job!

ok, So XMAS Eve we hired a santa to come visit the kids and bring them there gifts. It was the best 15minutes I have ever paid for! And he told them that he spoke to Mickey they are going to DL on THursday! here is a mini cronicle of pics!
This santa was amazing. found my bag of gifts and read my instructions very well!
Here he is when the girls opened the door!

and the classic screaming 17m old picture!

What a wonderful santa and the video is quite good. My husband manned the camera for the first time and I was impressed!
Santa told jokes and told them about mrs. claus and the reindeer and his best friend Frosty!
Lori

What a MAGICAL time! I love that idea! I think I need to look into having this done next year. Priceless!

Here are a few pictures. Princess Leigh had been playing photographer earlier and changed all my camera settings, so this is the best that I have! Oh well! My fault for not checking!

She loves everything that she got, but Butterscotch is her absolute favorite!
She asked for it last year, but we didn't get it, and it was number one again this year on her list. She screamed with joy when she got up and saw her by the tree!
Now I guess I will need to build a stable to house this huge thing!;)

You're gonna have to post pics of that stable! I love Butterscotch - if My DD didn't already have a list prepared for Santa, I think that he would have brought this to our house for her. Maybe she won't be too old next year for Butterscotch. I'd love to see what customs you begin to create for the pony!

And to stay on topic on this thread, I did make a custom top for Leigh to wear on Christmas Eve.

I also made some personalized pillows as gifts this year. My niece, Mom, and MIL loved them!

th_Christmas2007003.jpg

I just really have to remember to plan earlier next year! I made all the pillows and the top in one day, and unfortunately they didn't turn out as "perfect" as I would have hoped! I am working on my "perfectionism problem".
Everyone that received them thought they were great! So I have to remember that one man's perception of "perfect" is not the same as the others!
At least they did know that a lot of love went into making each one! And that is what made them "perfect" in their eyes!

I think the pillows DO look perfect! I love them! Did you make them yourself, or did you use the YCMT pattern?

Happy day-after-Christmas everyone! Megan woke me up this morning dressed and with her backpack all ready for school. She said, Christmas is over, time to go back to school! It is going to be a long two weeks.

Here are my Christmas pictures.

Megan got the swimming baby and was very happy:

And the big one!

She loved it! She did not like the name Nellie, and wants to call her Angel instead. She loved the clothes (yay me!):

SO COOL! I'm glad she loved it - I know you put a lot of work into all of those precious outfits. I'm glad it paid off!

And here is how DS and Dnephew spent the entire day:

at least they got up and moved from one seat to another:

IMG_0034.jpg

Bwaahahaha! That was my 2 boys plus their 2 boy cousins ALL day! We had to pry the DS's out of their fingers to get them to eat! They HORKED their meal only to return to the exact same activity!

This morning, my boys started playing without getting dressed or making their beds. Wrongo! They had to eat, get dressed, clean their rooms, and feed the dogs BEFORE playing!

and to stay OT, CUTE Pj's!!!! Lily-:cutie:

How thoughtful of Scrappy!! I love the look on Megan's face with Angel!! Great job, Mom!

So jealous, I want butterscotch, I'd better start saving money now so someday DD can get her. I'd better start on the stable too!

Every time I see pictures of your kids, I just think how impossibly good looking they all are!! Are you photoshopping them or something? ;) It's good to see that my nieces and nephew (Trace, not Corey) aren't the only ones in that pose (with the DS)all day!

Thank you Heather! Tessa and Sawyer are pretty gorgeous too!

The rest of the day was devoted to the wii. It keeps track of how much you play and we played it for 11 hours yesterday!

Cute photos! Love Megan and Angel!

Here's some Christmas pics:

Tessa opening her new scotter! You can tell these are authentic Christmas morning pictures from the unbrushed hair.:
ASCOOTER.jpg

Tessa checking out her loot from Santa. Santa didn't get quite enough to fill her stocking, so he went scrounging around the basement for almost new stuffed animals she hasn't seen for a few years and may have forgotten about...:rolleyes1 :

Sawyer's favorite gift was a toy vacuum cleaner and Tessa's was the scooter!

We also had some pseudo-family over for dinner. They brought a friend, who brought a dog. This was a cute, sweet, little pomeranian who proceeded to pee on our floor 6 times within 10 minutes!!! Henry then tied it up outside and when the owner let it back in, it pooped on our floor and peed 2 more times before Henry put it back outside. Bear in mind that these people never asked to bring their dog. Why do people think it's okay to bring their dog to other people's houses without asking?! This happens to us all the time. Yes, we have a dog, but she is housetrained!!! Even if your dog is perfect at home, it WILL poop on someone else's floor. It's a rule in the dog world. Does anyone else think this is a problem, or am I just being too picky?

I am loving all the new things that were posted the last few days/weeks.

Tom: Love Leigh's Christmas Eve outfit -- too cute! And, I have to be very careful about looking at your pictures when DD3 is around b/c she would have a fit if she saw Butterscotch. She kept telling us she wanted one but there was no way that we were buying that. I think it is cute and she definitely loves it when she is in the store but I just can't buy it. If it would actually walk w/her sitting on it, I would buy it in a minute! Glad Leigh liked it.

Camelotcats: WOW at the present DH got you!! I would have died if my hubby gave me that. I was shocked that he bought me a $30 gift card to Hancocks!!

t-beri: Great outfits!

Lori: The Santa is awesome!! Great idea!

Stephres: Great pics and she looks sooo excited over the doll! Too funny about the Wii. Santa brought us one too, although we didn't play it that long (only about 5 hours). I was super sore this morning from bowling too long last night. Did your son get the Pokemon Battle Revolution game?

Heather - too cute on the pics!! Our Santa forgot about some gifts as well! To answer your question about the dog, I would have been LIVID about the dog. That was totally rude. A dog will always pee/poop somewhere new. Did they at least clean up the mess after their own dog?

Okay, as I mentioned before, somewhere in the night Christmas Eve I must've been feeling guilty because I did not get to make as many doll clothes for DD as I'd wanted to (the poor thing had no skirt to wear with her peasant top!) I had an idea pop into my head. DD got the American Girl Julie for Christmas. She is the newest "Historical" doll--from the 70's :scared1: Yes, makes me feel old. Who knew the 70's were historical? So I was thinking a denim skirt would be cool. Now DD10 tears the knees out of nearly every pair of jeans she owns, so I thought, why not chop off the bottom of a pants leg and stitch in a casing, throw in an elastic, and voila! I had to wait 'till morning to make sure it would work (make sure the pant leg was big enough around). Sure enough, the easiest skirt ever! No seams, no hem, just a casing and a piece of elastic. I'll have to try this with other pants! I used boot-cut jeans. I don't know if straight leg would work.

Here is the chopped off just below the hole in the knee jeans leg:

And less than 10 minutes later the finished product:

And modeled by Julie:

And the back because Julie's hair is SO COOL!

Julie says "hey" to all her Ivy friends out there! (They are BFF in AG world--yes, I'm too involved :rotfl: )

To whom does this belong? And where oh where did you get it?

ETA: It helps if I add the picture so you know what I'm talking about!!!!!!

that is awful. I hate when people do that! They should have asked. I would be mortified if that was my dog. My parents bring over there pom and he likes to pee also. that dog is super sweet, but not at my house!

I just love this idea. Awesome thinking! Julie is a big hit here. Anastasia just loves the book. I told all the relatives to pick up some AG items for xmas. No luck. But her bday is coming up so you never know!

No, they did not! The woman who brought him sat at the kitceh table the whole time and didn't pay attention to what her dog was doing. So, my DH followed it around with the spotbot cleaning up it's messes. His Grandma also brought her dog (she asked) who saw the other one peeing, so she decided she'd get in on the action!! At least his grandma made her dog sit on her lap the rest of the day after it peed on the floor. We had to lock our dog in the basement because she and the pom kept getting snippy with each other. I am just so totally irritated by this. My friend (who lives 4 hours away and I never get to see her) is coming over tomorrow and she said on the phone "We have to bring our dog. Is that okay?" She has a hyperactive black lab. No, it's NOT okay!! We don't have a fenced yard, so leaving them outside isn't an option.

That looks so cool!! How perfect for a "historic 70's" doll! :rotfl: I did something similar to this before I really started sewing, but it didn't turn out as cute. I cut off the bottom of some of my PJ pants and made a skirt for Tessa's Build-A-Bear. As I said, it didn't turn out very well...

Even more rude than I thought. I would have been mortified if my dog (we don't have one by the way) would have done that to someone elses home. Let me guess, no more invites for that family!!!!

seriously what the heck is wrong with people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We invited DH's grandma, her sister, her sister's daughter, and her children. But, they had a friend staying with them, so they brought her along, too. She is the one with the dog. So, we didn't even invite her, much less her dog! She also talked a lot about all the crimes she was falsely accused of and the corrupt justice system in this country. But, she shut up about that once DH told her he was going to be training for the police reserves starting in January.

seriously what the heck is wrong with people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I KNOW!!!!! Anyone else want to chime in here and let me know I'm not just being a jerk? Or, if you think I'm being a jerk, let me know why!

only the people with a ton of crimes claim everyone is out to get them. If you do legal stuff then you won't get in trouble!

Definitely rude! Even though we love and adore my DSis dog (and would steal her if we could) they always ask before bringing her over! She has never had an "accident" in our house but the other day when she was over I spotted a suspicious puddle on the hardwood floor. DSis rushed over to clean it up even though it turned out to be some drink my kids had spilled. A couple of weeks ago we had a Christmas party for DH's work people. I opened the door for one guy and in with him rushed a very hyper small dog. I was a bit askeered as this dog was rushing around my wool rug, just waiting for it to mark it's arrival. It turned out it was not this guys dog, just some neighbor's dog running loose who rushed into my house. It took me a while to catch it. This is not the first time, or the second, that some strange neighbor dog has rushed into my house and made us run around like crazy trying to catch it. One even cornered my poor cat in my bedroom. Now that's rude!
