Heather: Of course you are not a jerk! That is crazy and I would have been really mad! I cannot see your husband chasing around the dog with the spot machine though, it really makes me laugh. Mine would have thrown the dog in the garage or outside after the first puddle!

Amy: We got Pokémon Battle Revolution but "it sucks unless you have someone with a DS to play with" according to Jacob. I have no idea it that is true or not, but he is angling for me to set up a playdate.

Jham: I love the jeans skirt idea! I am going to try that as soon as I can get the sewing machine out again.

Did I tell you all I got a serger for Christmas? I can't remember. Anyway, after reading the instructions I am askeered to take it out of the box!

Thanks for the pics and mini TR!! I love that your DH wore one of the Mickey shirts. What a great guy! I have a picture of my brother and I resting on a bench just like the one Megan is laying on (near Spaceship earth) when I was about 12 years old.
As I recall, that was Brian's first ever Disney trip! You need to find it and post it.

About 1/4 of an hour, I'd say. I love your use of "Way-too-early-o'clock".
It's official then, I am WAYYYY past sane! Brian left at 10:30 in the morning, to go to church, and did not return home until EIGHT AT NIGHT!!! And, he wouldn't have been home that early if Lydia hadn't begged me to please please please call him and tell him to come home because she missed him. Apparently, he had thought he told me he was going to his parents house for supper (I really don't recall that happening, but whatever), and I should have known he would be gone, away from his poor sick little daughter, the ENTIRE day! On a good note, he did bring home Lydia a present from his parent's house. A plastic brush and mirror. Enough said.

Aw, what a special day!! I'm having a great day, too!! I have to post a picture of the necklace that Tessa picked out for me.

Tessa is so cute. When I asked her what she was getting her Mommy, she said, "Jewels, and I am NOT even going to TELL you how GORGEOUS they are!!!" I love that child!

WOOHOO!!!:woohoo: I got a new (to me) sewing machine for Christmas. My MIL thought if I was going to continue sewing I should have a decent machine. I got a refurbished Kenmore (made by Janome) with a handful of stitches and a top loading bobbin-YAY for that. anyway, just wanted to share...
...t.

WOOO HOOO!!! I am so excited for you!!!!!!

Please forgive me for veering off topic, but I really wanted to share and gush about my awesome DH. He didn't know what to get me for Christmas this year, and told me so. I didn't know what to tell him and figured he'd get me somehting nice. he always does pretty well for holidays.

Yesterday, before he went to work he woke me up, because I had to go to JoAnn and pick up a chair from the Viking store in JoAnn that I had ordered a while ago. When he woke me up, he told me he was giving me my Christmas present early and handed me a small envelope. Inside the envelope was....

A gift card for JoAnn!!

Now, the JoAnn by me is in Liquidation. It is closing January 15 (ish). EVERYTHING is on super clearance sale. He said he checked when he went in and bought the card at that JoAnn that they would honor it in the store if I went back.

So, I go off to JoAnn, and sidle up to the customer service desk to ask them how much is on my gift card (and if I can use it in liquidation). Well, he's right, I can use it....and.....

THERE'S $550 ON THE GIFT CARD!!!! :scared1: I called DH to make sure that hadn't been meant to be $55, and they hadn't charged him wrong. It wasn't....he meant for to be good for $500 in merchandise with the $50 to cover tax!! :faint: He told me to go crazy and stock up because he knew I was stressing about where I was goign to get supplies when they closed, and I could get enough to last me for a long long time with the gift card he gave me! :cool1:

I just about died. Then I went crazy. Then I about killed the ladies at the cutting table by workign them to death (not really, but almost....:rolleyes1 ). Everything in the store was 50-75% off!! I went NUTS!! Then, when my surburban's trunk was FULL, I went home, ran up to my husband (who was home by then) and gave him a huge smooch!!

BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER. :cloud9:

I jsut wanted to share with people who would understand the magnitude of this gift to me, and how much it means. My folks just sighed and tsked over the phone and yelled at him for encouraging my fabric and trim habit. His folks were confused as to why he would think that was a good gift.

Thank you for letting me gush.

-Angela

Thankfully, I read a few posts ahead, and know that I am not the only one crying about this! That is SOOOO wonderful and sweet!

That gave me the chills! FABULOUS gift!
Aren't family "funny"? Have you ever tried to explain the DISboards to a non-Disney Freak? Like trying to explaing quantum physics to a preschooler!
I love "the look" family gives when they don't get it...

Your DH gets DH Of The Year for thinking to add tax money too!

Oh, it is so hard to even explain DISNEY to someone who doesn't get it, much less an entire board filled with Disney lovers that don't necesarily just talk about Disney, but feel like a family! It's just complicated!

I don't know when I'll have a chance to post this week, I work the rest of the week. so here you go.

That outfit is amazing T!!! How gorgeous! And, when did Gavin get his haircut!? It looks great!

Thanks to all of you who shared in my Christmas day here and a special Thanks to a special Dis'er- who knows who she is :flower3:

Make friends, make amends, give too many hugs and too many kisses and fill your life with love and happiness.

...t.

That
That's so sweet! Here's a hug for you too!

That turned out sooo cute! It looks like Lily loves it.

Here are my 4 in the Christmas Pjs I made them. Try getting 4 kids to smile nicely in one photo--it's impossible with mine.

And here is how DS and Dnephew spent the entire day:

at least they got up and moved from one seat to another:

Cute jammies!!!!! and cute kids!!! The pictures of your DS and nephew look just like our niece Courtney! She is ALWAYS playing her Gameboy!

Loved seeing all the pictures! How cool to have Santa come visit personally and hand out the presents! What a memory that will be!

Here are a few pictures. Princess Leigh had been playing photographer earlier and changed all my camera settings, so this is the best that I have! Oh well! My fault for not checking!
Christmas2007025.jpg

Christmas2007039.jpg

Christmas2007032.jpg

She loves everything that she got, but Butterscotch is her absolute favorite!
She asked for it last year, but we didn't get it, and it was number one again this year on her list. She screamed with joy when she got up and saw her by the tree!
Now I guess I will need to build a stable to house this huge thing!;)

Thanks for the pictures Tom! I love Leigh's jammies too! Are those sparkley??

And, Arminda has also said that Butterscotch needs a stable, so I expect you to get busy on that!

And to stay on topic on this thread, I did make a custom top for Leigh to wear on Christmas Eve.

I also made some personalized pillows as gifts this year. My niece, Mom, and MIL loved them!

Christmas2007003.jpg

I just really have to remember to plan earlier next year! I made all the pillows and the top in one day, and unfortunately they didn't turn out as "perfect" as I would have hoped! I am working on my "perfectionism problem".
Everyone that received them thought they were great! So I have to remember that one man's perception of "perfect" is not the same as the others!
At least they did know that a lot of love went into making each one! And that is what made them "perfect" in their eyes!
The outift and pillows turned out great!!!

And the big one!

The rest of the day was devoted to the wii. It keeps track of how much you play and we played it for 11 hours yesterday!

Yeah Stephanie!!!! I'm glad she was so excited!!!! What sweet pictures! Have fun playing the Wii!

Here's some Christmas pics:

This was Christmas Eve in front of the tree:

Sawyer's favorite gift was a toy vacuum cleaner and Tessa's was the scooter!

We also had some pseudo-family over for dinner. They brought a friend, who brought a dog. This was a cute, sweet, little pomeranian who proceeded to pee on our floor 6 times within 10 minutes!!! Henry then tied it up outside and when the owner let it back in, it pooped on our floor and peed 2 more times before Henry put it back outside. Bear in mind that these people never asked to bring their dog. Why do people think it's okay to bring their dog to other people's houses without asking?! This happens to us all the time. Yes, we have a dog, but she is housetrained!!! Even if your dog is perfect at home, it WILL poop on someone else's floor. It's a rule in the dog world. Does anyone else think this is a problem, or am I just being too picky?

First, when did my baby nephew get so big????? He looks much too old! Beautiful pictures though! Those are some GORGEOUS chilren!

And, the DOG!!! GEESH!!! I think Josie was the one that should have been allowed upstairs, and that little mutt should have been locked in the cage in the basement!!! It makes me so mad to think someone would just let their dog run around messing up your house. Obciously, you don't let your dog do that, why in the world did they think they could let theirs? Heather's house is scary clean, not to mention gorgeous! Friends of ours have told me that Heather's house should be featured in a magazine it's so beautiful! Although, even if it wasn't, no one should just bring over a dog and let them mess it up!!!

In other words, nope, I don't think you are being unreasonable!

And modeled by Julie:

IMG_0059.jpg

That is fantastic!!!!! I love it!
To whom does this belong? And where oh where did you get it?

ETA: It helps if I add the picture so you know what I'm talking about!!!!!!
100_0745.jpg

Leslie (2cutekidz) had one of those for her daughter as I recall.

No, they did not! The woman who brought him sat at the kitceh table the whole time and didn't pay attention to what her dog was doing. So, my DH followed it around with the spotbot cleaning up it's messes. His Grandma also brought her dog (she asked) who saw the other one peeing, so she decided she'd get in on the action!! At least his grandma made her dog sit on her lap the rest of the day after it peed on the floor. We had to lock our dog in the basement because she and the pom kept getting snippy with each other. I am just so totally irritated by this. My friend (who lives 4 hours away and I never get to see her) is coming over tomorrow and she said on the phone "We have to bring our dog. Is that okay?" She has a hyperactive black lab. No, it's NOT okay!! We don't have a fenced yard, so leaving them outside isn't an option.
Tell her I said hi, if it's who I think it is. You see, this is why we just don't ever have people over, we don't have to worry about them bringing their dogs that way!

We invited DH's grandma, her sister, her sister's daughter, and her children. But, they had a friend staying with them, so they brought her along, too. She is the one with the dog. So, we didn't even invite her, much less her dog! She also talked a lot about all the crimes she was falsely accused of and the corrupt justice system in this country. But, she shut up about that once DH told her he was going to be training for the police reserves starting in January.

I KNOW!!!!! Anyone else want to chime in here and let me know I'm not just being a jerk? Or, if you think I'm being a jerk, let me know why!
Oh wow, it just gets worse and worse. I would do a thorough look around the house to make sure that nothing is missing if I were you. I would have loved to have seen her face when Henry told her that though!

Heather: Of course you are not a jerk! That is crazy and I would have been really mad! I cannot see your husband chasing around the dog with the spot machine though, it really makes me laugh. Mine would have thrown the dog in the garage or outside after the first puddle!
Henry is a VERY neat guy!

Did I tell you all I got a serger for Christmas? I can't remember. Anyway, after reading the instructions I am askeered to take it out of the box!

No, I don't think you told us! Go ahead, get it out! They are really pretty easy to use! It made Lydia's Build a Bear outfit go a lot quicker.

I hope you all had a verry MERRY CHRISTMAS! We had an early - yet wonderful Christmas morning - the kids were up at 4:15!! YIKES - we held them off as long as we could - but it was still only an hour later. Here are a few pics from our morning - this is what I look like when I get up at 4:15!! LOL! I did get a serger for Christmas - I am a little frustrated with trying to figure it out - so I haven't really played with it yet!

Amy: We got Pokémon Battle Revolution but "it sucks unless you have someone with a DS to play with" according to Jacob. I have no idea it that is true or not, but he is angling for me to set up a playdate.

I believe I remember my hubby saying something about transferring "caught" Pokemon from the DS to the Wii. I don't even pretend to have a clue what Pokemon is about. My DSIL has a DS and I think she is coming to Atlanta for New Years and she is going to bring her DS and transfer files or something. My son doesn't have a DS but helps her play on hers when we are in Alabama. My son is just having a blast playing the Pokemon on the Wii. He's only 6 so I don't know that he knows it can be even more fun yet!

Thanks everyone for the great words about my awesome DH.

Heather: you are NOT being a jerk. That lady was. I have a cousin who was coming in from LA for a cousin's reunion. Three days before she came, she calls me up and says "I've decided not to stay in a hotel, so can My boyfriend and I stay with you?" "ok", i reply....then she tells me "OK, great. By the way, do you live near a good park for us to walk the dog at?".... "WAIT....WHAT?" She was going to bring a dog (a sheltie) to my house without telling me for 4 days. By the way, I have an un-fenced yard and TWO CATS! I told her to find somewhere else for her dog, it was not welcome here.

Then that day, my other cousn and his BF came over with their min-pin. (they had asked and I had OKed) She was PISSED! lol. My cousin stayed that day and went home that night, adn they brought a doggie carrier. sheesh!

So, sorry for the hijack, but no, I don't think you are being unreasonable at all. I think SHE was. Sheesh. I would have chained it to a tree outside, but I am mean.

Jham: I LOVE the skirt! That's a great idea! I am totally CASE-ing that idea for DD's little softie princess.

For everyone who got a serger:

Don't be intimidated! Once you get the hang of threadin gthem they are wonderful! I used to teach an intro to sergers class, so I might be able to helpw tih some of your questions. I really only know how to thread White and Viking machines, though.

I love all the great pics! We forgot to take any (BAD MOMMY!!). The camera is packed for our trip, and I forgot to take it out. :confused3

Definitely rude! Even though we love and adore my DSis dog (and would steal her if we could) they always ask before bringing her over! She has never had an "accident" in our house but the other day when she was over I spotted a suspicious puddle on the hardwood floor. DSis rushed over to clean it up even though it turned out to be some drink my kids had spilled. A couple of weeks ago we had a Christmas party for DH's work people. I opened the door for one guy and in with him rushed a very hyper small dog. I was a bit askeered as this dog was rushing around my wool rug, just waiting for it to mark it's arrival. It turned out it was not this guys dog, just some neighbor's dog running loose who rushed into my house. It took me a while to catch it. This is not the first time, or the second, that some strange neighbor dog has rushed into my house and made us run around like crazy trying to catch it. One even cornered my poor cat in my bedroom. Now that's rude!

:lmao: Sorry, but that's funny! I can't believe a random neighbor dog crashed your party!

Heather: Of course you are not a jerk! That is crazy and I would have been really mad! I cannot see your husband chasing around the dog with the spot machine though, it really makes me laugh. Mine would have thrown the dog in the garage or outside after the first puddle!

Did I tell you all I got a serger for Christmas? I can't remember. Anyway, after reading the instructions I am askeered to take it out of the box!
Congrats on your serger!! I really want one, but don't know if I want to spend the money on it yet.

It was pretty funny watching Henry chase the dog around with the spotlifter (it wasn't the spotbot as I said before). He did put the dog outside- twice. But, she get letting the darn thing back in. He was afraid it'd chew up something important if he left it in the garage. Did I mention this was a 7 month old puppy?

I love seeing family pictures!! It's so fun to see what everyone's DH looks like. You are such a cute family!

Thank you!! I like hearing other people's uninvited dog horror stories.

Teresa: Thank you for what you said about my house! I also appreciate you saying it's scary-clean. Although, it's NOT!!

WOW !! looks like everyone had a great Christmas. Lily is so afraid of Butterscotch- she always wants to see her in the store and then freaks out.

Thanks for all the great compliments on Littles dress, it was a lot of work and well beyond my talent, I'm glad I pulled it off!! Now to start practicing my applique.

Angela is NOT mean, no matter what she says

and Gavin's step mom talked himinto getting a hair cut after he'd had it trimmed and the lady BUTCHERED it. It was really silly looking, like someone put a bowl on his head:rotfl: He wants to grow it back out though.

...t.

That's more loot than we had under our tree!! I love L's new outfit!! You did such a great job- and that's a LOT of shirring!! Your kids are just gorgeous!!!

The kindness of almost strangers is humbling and awe inspiring.

I plan on shirring more often:rotfl: I was completely amazed.

Well, today turned out to be quite productive for me despite my sniffles  I got the playroom organized with shelves and rearranged furniture in DD's room. We are getting a new bunk bed tomorrow :cool1: So first here is the organization part:

Well my DH would have added Dog Soup :scared: to the menu if someone's dog would have tried that at our house (Sorry all dog lovers  ) You handled it all very nicely however...so good for you

Okay, as I mentioned before, somewhere in the night Christmas Eve I must've been feeling guilty because I did not get to make as many doll clothes for DD as I'd wanted to (the poor thing had no skirt to wear with her peasant top!) I had an idea pop into my head. DD got the American Girl Julie for Christmas. She is the newest "Historical" doll--from the 70's :scared1: Yes, makes me feel old. Who knew the 70's were historical? So I was thinking a denim skirt would be cool. Now DD10 tears the knees out of nearly every pair of jeans she owns, so I thought, why not chop off the bottom of a pants leg and stitch in a casing, throw in an elastic, and voila! I had to wait 'till morning to make sure it would work (make sure the pant leg was big enough around). Sure enough, the easiest skirt ever! No seams, no hem, just a casing and a piece of elastic. I'll have to try this with other pants! I used boot-cut jeans. I don't know if straight leg would work.

Here is the chopped off just below the hole in the knee jeans leg:

And less than 10 minutes later the finished product:

Abolutely amazing! What a great idea! Love it! :thumbsup2

I am doing the same thing. But have to get to the mall by 9am to excange one thing! ECCKKK wish me luck
Did you get there and back ok???? popcorn::

Leslie (2cutekidz) had one of those for her daughter as I recall.

I wish I had that set!! I love it!! I did this one for my neice and I need to do another on for DD before our February trip.

I think Maureen (Camping Griswalds) has the other set. Someone else may have it too. I seem to remember 2 different people posting it.

Hi everybody. I am a daily lurker and very infrequent poster on this thread. I wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoy looking at your creations and reading about your lives. I totally feel like I know you all, but in a creepy non-stalker way!

My name is Molly. I am 3oyo and live in Delaware. I have two dsd's (16 and 11) and two ds's (3 and 1). I work weekend nights as a nurse at a psychiatric hospital (which is surprisingly enjoyable) and am going to grad school full-time to be a family nurse practitioner. I have loved to sew and craft all my life. I have a disney brother embroidery/sewing machine and have recently fell in love with machine embroidery.

I don't have any wedding pictures on the computer but here is an engagement picture. This was before the stress of parenthood made dh bald and me fat!

We had a great Christmas this year. On December 23rd the boys and I made cookies. Rolling and decorating sugar cookies with a 3yo and 1yo sounded better in theory than it worked out. They had a great time but my floors might be crunchy with colored sugar until Easter.

Thanks for looking! I hope to post some actual sewing projects soon. I'm on winter break until February so I want to get some creative urges out now. I've been totally inspired by the quilts posted by utahmommy and spongiemommy. I have been buying Disney fabric like crazy on Ebay. Now I have to get to work.

I agree. I have always been told to take some ibuprofen and never given a pain killer for strep. Hope you are feeling better!

Could you guys say a quick prayer or send some good thoughts to a friend's daughter? They are telling her they think she has leukemia. They are doing a bone marrow biopsy to verify. Lindsey is seven years old and has been through her parents' divorce this year. Thank you.

Are you ready for some pictures? We checked in Friday night at the Boardwalk and admired the gingerbread gazebo:

th_100_2083.jpg

We went over to Epcot where Megan had a major meltdown and I took her back to the room while the boys stayed. She cried the whole way back, "I just wanted to go on Test Track!" I am sure people thought she was quite abused.

The next day we went back to Epcot because she still wanted to go on Test Track. We went on Soarin' twice, Nemo and Friends, saw Turtle Talk with Crush, Journey to Imagination and Test Track. After lunch we went to Club Cool where I convinced Jacob to try Beverly:

th_100_2087.jpg

We got some comments on our shirts. Some asked where they could buy them (I should have passed out cards!):

th_100_2091.jpg

We went on the newly revamped Spaceship Earth (in the big Epcot ball) which I thought was neat but DH said was boring.

DH went back to the room for a nap and Megan would not go with him, even though she was tired too:

th_100_2116.jpg

The kids and I rode the new boat ride in Mexico (still boring) and Norway. Trolls!

100_2117.jpg

We spent the evening at the boardwalk. Tomorrow is the Magic Kingdom!
Love the pictures!

Sunday we went to the Magic Kingdom. I took Megan to the Barber Shop where they pixied her up. We got Fast Passes to the Buzz ride and went on Goofy's Rollercoaster while we waited. We stopped by to get the obligatory pic at Minnie's house:

After Buzz, DH got fast passes to Big Thunder Mountain while the kids and I rode It's a Small World. Megan sang along to the music the entire time. I thought it was cute, Jacob did not. We ate lunch at the Pinocchio place, where DH witnessed an altercation. They were blocking off the seats that overlook the Small World ride for people with food only. One lady didn't like that and told them she paid for her ticket so she could go anywhere she wanted and they couldn't stop her. They ended up calling security. The whole time her kids were waving through the window at people on the ride. Weirdo!

Then we went on the Haunted Mansion, which has been revamped. It was cool. It was finally time for our Fast Passes so we went on Thunder Mountain (Megan's first time). She loved it and asked to go on Splash Mountain! We got Fast Passes for it and went to the Country Bears (the sound sucked!) and Pirates. The wait was forever so there was much goofing around in line:

th_100_2127.jpg

We went back to Splash Mountain and when we were getting in Megan announced that she had to go to the bathroom but she was going to try to hold it. Well, we got soaked and Megan was extra soaked. We missed the parade because we had to get Megan a new Tinkerbelle outfit and we went to a performance of Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas instead. Really cute!

We walked up to the castle to wait for the lighting ceremony. Megan and I goofed around while the boys went pin shopping:

I wanted to get a picture of the back of her head, it was so cute:

Before the mob got there:

th_100_2129.jpg

After the castle-lighting we left for home, exhausted! On the way out, Megan said, hey! we didn't get to go on Space Mountain! She was definitely the dare devil this trip!
I love Megan's hair it is so cute!:cutie:
You look like you had a great time! I wish I could go back. . .
As I mentioned, Lydia hasn't been feeling well. She's got a nasty cold and cough. She was eating a cookie we made the other day, and offered me the rest. We had made a glaze frosting for it, and had just put it on, so it was still shiny and wet. I took it and was careful to turn it around and eat the side she hadn't taken a bite out of. After I took a big bite, she says to me, "I didn't want it, so I just licked all the frosting." :scared1: So much for avoiding those germs!

I thought Brian was going to bust a gut he was laughing so hard!
EWWWW  I hope you don't get sick.
I bought this fabric awhile ago and last night figured out what I wanted to do with it LOL.

have fun!!!!!

Merry Christmas DISboutiquers!!!!!

Merry Christmas to you! Love the Cabela's trippie. Very FUNNY:lmao:
I do know that they will do it. There was a lady before Megan with her daughter and they got matching pixie dust. It is first-come-first-serve (we had to wait about 15 minutes) and it cost $7.50. It is a pain to wash out but worth it!

We just got word that it is confirmed: Lindsey does have leukemia and will start on a chemo treatment that will last 2 1/2 years. I don't understand how this can happen to such a sweet girl, so thanks for your prayers.

Oh that is so sad. I hope she will be okay. I will keep her in my prayers. Do you think she would like some cozy flannel pants to wear in the hospital?

Nope, not me. I would LOVE to have the outfit, but don't! I love your purple TINK outfit though!!! I saw it and then realized I have that fabric, and the green and purple dot fabric. SIGH...so much fabric, so little time!!!

I wish I had that set!! I love it!! I did this one for my neice and I need to do another on for DD before our February trip.

I think Maureen (Camping Griswalds) has the other set. Someone else may have it too. I seem to remember 2 different people posting it.

Well this should have gone with my other post...sorry!!

Oh boy, you will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers - there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the tunnel just seems so long. I work with kids who are recovering and in remission to get their strength etc back......they are amazing little people for sure! God Bless!

Here is a little boy who loves his Mickey Kissmas tee!!!

Merry Christmas!
What a cute picture. I love those bitty twins!

-Angela
Wow what a great DH!
I don't know when I'll have a chance to post this week, I work the rest of the week. so here you go.

Thanks to all of you who shared in my Christmas day here and a special Thanks to a special Dis'er- who knows who she is :flower3:

Hope you all have a great week and for those of you who I don't get to "see" before...have a safe and happy new year!
Make friends, make amends, give too many hugs and too many kisses and fill your life with love and happiness.

...t.
I love Lily's dress! Sounds like your Christmas turned out great!!!
That turned out sooo cute! It looks like Lily loves it.

Here are my 4 in the Christmas Pjs I made them. Try getting 4 kids to smile nicely in one photo--it's impossible with mine.

th_IMG_0003.jpg
Those PJ's are adorable!

ok, So XMAS Eve we hired a santa to come visit the kids and bring them there gifts. It was the best 15minutes I have ever paid for! And he told them that he spoke to Mickey they are going to DL on THursday! here is a mini cronicle of pics!
This santa was amazing. found my bag of gifts and read my instructions very well!
Here he is when the girls opened the door!

Here is Nicholas following him in! he is so excited - for now!

What a wonderful santa and the video is quite good. My husband manned the camera for the first time and I was impressed!
Santa told jokes and told them about mrs. claus and the reindeer and his best friend Frosty!
Lori
Wow what a good idea! Great pictures too!

She loves everything that she got, but Butterscotch is her absolute favorite!
She asked for it last year, but we didn't get it, and it was number one again this year on her list. She screamed with joy when she got up and saw her by the tree!
Now I guess I will need to build a stable to house this huge thing!;)
Aww cute. She needs a custom stable blanket!
And to stay on topic on this thread, I did make a custom top for Leigh to wear on Christmas Eve.
Christmas2007007.jpg

I also made some personalized pillows as gifts this year. My niece, Mom, and MIL loved them!
Christmas2007002.jpg

I just really have to remember to plan earlier next year! I made all the pillows and the top in one day, and unfortunately they didn't turn out as "perfect" as I would have hoped! I am working on my "perfectionism problem".
Everyone that received them thought they were great! So I have to remember that one man's perception of "perfect" is not the same as the others!
At least they did know that a lot of love went into making each one! And that is what made them "perfect" in their eyes!
That outfit is adorable and I love the pillows. Very sweet!

Happy day-after-Christmas everyone! Megan woke me up this morning dressed and with her backpack all ready for school. She said, Christmas is over, time to go back to school! It is going to be a long two weeks.

T: Glad you had such a nice Christmas with some gifts for you, too. You deserve it!

Angela: What a great husband! I'm glad you got to stock up before they store closed.

Tom: Butterscotch! I bet Leigh was excited. I love her outfit and definitely want to try those pillows: they turned out very nice!

Lori: How neat that Santa visited the kids personally! The kids look so cute in their matching outfits.

Jahm: Love the DS pictures! We got the wii from Santa so we played it all day long.

Here are my Christmas pictures.

Megan got the swimming baby and was very happy:

Jacob got a picture of him and Scrappy from Scrappy:

Stockings! Megan opened hers before she woke any of us up so I had to recreate this picture:

100_2152.jpg

100_2153.jpg

And the big one!

100_2155.jpg

She loved it! She did not like the name Nellie, and wants to call her Angel instead. She loved the clothes (yay me!):

100_2156.jpg

100_2157.jpg

The rest of the day was devoted to the wii. It keeps track of how much you play and we played it for 11 hours yesterday!

Love the photo from Scrappy! Great Gift. Megan is adorable with her doll!

Cute! I was looking at the pictures thinking you looked familiar but I couldn't place the boys and then I saw your signature: they are babies in the pic! They looks so grown up in the Christmas pictures! I hope you get lots of creating done in your break and show us. My mom has an embroidery machine and she loves it. She made my daughter a t-shirt and jeans with butterflies on it and she was so upset that the butterflies were upside down on the jeans. I told her that all the in people put them on that way so you can see them while you are wearing them!

Oh that is so sad. I hope she will be okay. I will keep her in my prayers. Do you think she would like some cozy flannel pants to wear in the hospital?

Thanks. I don't know what to do. Right now she is in isolation because her white blood cell count is very low and she has an infection. She will stay in the hospital for two weeks. I was thinking of making a pillow like Tom made. I don't know. I don't want to bother the family (they have enough to deal with) but I want to something. The kids drew some pictures and I bought a card for the mom today. She has recently moved (because of the divorce) so I am waiting to get her new address to mail. I just wish I could do more.

I did and they did not have my size, so I got a gift card and got out of there fast!
The malls was just starting to get crazy!
Lori

We were starting to worry about you! Glad you made it home ok!
