Oh my goodness Deann! You should see Lydia's face!!! She is BEYOND excited! How did you know Ariel was her favorite? She is feeling pretty icky today, so she needed the extra boost! She is simply glowing!!!!

I told you, Ariel told me ;) What can I say, I pay attention :thumbsup2

I do know that they will do it. There was a lady before Megan with her daughter and they got matching pixie dust. It is first-come-first-serve (we had to wait about 15 minutes) and it cost $7.50. It is a pain to wash out but worth it!

All right then - lets see if Im brave enough to do it!!!! Do you all think I should?????

We just got word that it is confirmed: Lindsey does have leukemia and will start on a chemo treatment that will last 2 1/2 years. I don't understand how this can happen to such a sweet girl, so thanks for your prayers.
Oh boy, you will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers - there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the tunnel just seems so long. I work with kids who are recovering and in remission to get their strength etc back......they are amazing little people for sure! God Bless!

Here is a little boy who loves his Mickey Kissmas tee!!!

And here is Zoey, sporting her new Mickey Coat (in the first pic she is not happy cause I made her wear antlers!)!!!

Merry CHristmas Everyone!!!:santa:

(I don't celebrate Christmas, but my husband does with the kids, and I thought this was pretty funny.)

I was just getting ready to go off to bed, when I spotted two brown paper lunch bags that Arminda hung over the fireplace because she couldn't find her stocking. On it she wrote, "I Arminda have been very good girl, so I expect to have bothe of these stockings filled up." Then, all around the room she has placed little signs that read, "Please put presents here please." Good thing we taught her to be grateful and humble, huh? Oh, yah gotta love her though!

On another note, I finished up a Monsters Inc. nightgown for Lydia. She was sleeping, thankfully, by the time I finished it, so I just put it on her. She doesn't even know she's wearing it yet! I still need to put a ruffle on the bottom, but I figured that could wait! I sure hope I got all the pins out! :scared1: I should probably be off to bed before everyone else starts waking up, so good night all!

Aww, what a sweet picture!!! She looks very pleased!!! I see you got a Joann's gift card too!!!

I stayed up way too late last night, and Arminda and Corey were pounding on our door at Way-too-early-o'clock! I'm pooped! Lydia is sick, so she didn't go with Brian to church this morning. Of course, she wanted someone to play with her new toys with, so I was chosen as the lucky one. How many hours of Polly Pockets can you play and still stay sane???:upsidedow

Merry Christmas DISboutiquers!!!!!

I read this and almost wet my pants. It is hysterical! We don't have anyhing like that where I live. I didn't even know sporting good stores sold hunting or camping supplies....seriously. They don't around here. I LOVE the little toy cars.

I do know that they will do it. There was a lady before Megan with her daughter and they got matching pixie dust. It is first-come-first-serve (we had to wait about 15 minutes) and it cost $7.50. It is a pain to wash out but worth it!

Oh no! :sad1: She will definitely be in our thoughts. :(

Araminda sounds like my DD, Brianna. She asked me to leave a note for Santa making sure that he knew that she was very very good, AND she ws going to be very good this year so he could give her extra toys because she was going to be good this coming year, too. Little stinker.

Well, the Laundry fairy never seems to get holidays off, so I'm off to spread my pixie dust! :upsidedow

Merry Christmas, Everyone! :santa:

Merry Merry Christmas!!! We had a wonderful morning. Lily was so thrilled with the Disney Princess kitchen that we had to beg her to open any other presents. She has been serving us tea from it all day long ( we had to take the tea cups and mrs. potts with us or she would not leave!!!:rotfl: )
Last night she got a princess phone from my uncle, it is pink and fuzzy and has buttons w/ Aurora, snow white, ariel, belle, jasmine and cinderella. Everyone was impressed that she knew all their names (though she only knows Aurora as sleeping beauty.) You wouldn't believe that the only princess videos she has are Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.

She got a nintendog stuffed Yorkie and she is dressed up like a princess (the baby doll santa brought has a tiara and a princess dress too, is there a theme here??) I thought the yorkie needed a good princess name so I asked Lily if she wanted to name her Fergie or Di and she said "I don't want her to die, it's my puppy!!!" oops. We're still thinking of a name:rotfl2:

Gavin said his favorite present was a 6 way tie so we must have done pretty good.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

EVERYONE who is eligable to donate blood should go out and do so this week. During the holidays the blood supply is always strained due to the rise in accidents and the deminished supplies, everyone gets caught up in the hustle and bustle and forgets to donate.
This is probably a stupid question, but would they want my blood? I'm on Coumadin for a hypercoaguable (sp?) state, so I'm pretty sure they wouldn't. But, if you could find out, I'd appreciate it!!

Thanks for the pics and mini TR!! I love that your DH wore one of the Mickey shirts. What a great guy! I have a picture of my brother and I resting on a bench just like the one Megan is laying on (near Spaceship earth) when I was about 12 years old.

I'm laughing so hard I can barely breathe! As Arminda just said, "If you are going to pee your pants at Disney World, Splash Mountain is the place to do it." She said that with WAY too much confidence, which makes me woned about the time she was the ONLY one wet when we got off there....hmmm...
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Merry Christmas everyone!! I have been lurking trying to keep up but am way, way behind but love seeing all the new creations! Thought I'd share a picture of my dd in her Christmas custom that I made a while back. She wore that to a Christmas party, and got a lot of compliments on it! Of course, that made me happy and really keeps me sewing! One of my friends wanted me to make her daughter one for Valentine's Day, and couple said they wanted one exactly like that for their daughter next Christmas....but I am not sure if I am comfortable making them for others at this point! My stitching just isn't the neatest if you look on the inside!
Anyway, I am currently working on a pink with white polka dot dress for her to wear to Playhouse Disney live next Sunday.

Hope everyone have a great holiday and a great New year!!

I can't see your pictures! Am I the only one?

As I mentioned, Lydia hasn't been feeling well. She's got a nasty cold and cough. She was eating a cookie we made the other day, and offered me the rest. We had made a glaze frosting for it, and had just put it on, so it was still shiny and wet. I took it and was careful to turn it around and eat the side she hadn't taken a bite out of. After I took a big bite, she says to me, "I didn't want it, so I just licked all the frosting." :scared1: So much for avoiding those germs!

I thought Brian was going to bust a gut he was laughing so hard!
Poor little Lyddy!! Poor Mommy, how disgusting!!

I bought this fabric awhile ago and last night figured out what I wanted to do with it LOL.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I will be praying for little Lindsey.

I just love that Arminda! She really is a grateful little girl, though. I wanna see this nightgown!!! Have you took pictures yet?

Ooh, I got a JoAnn's GC, too!! Morgan is looking adorable as usual. I love the note with the Grinch pillow!!

About 1/4 of an hour, I'd say. I love your use of "Way-too-early-o'clock".

Aw, what a special day!! I'm having a great day, too!! I have to post a picture of the necklace that Tessa picked out for me.

WOOHOO!!!:woohoo: I got a new (to me) sewing machine for Christmas. My MIL thought if I was going to continue sewing I should have a decent machine. I got a refurbished Kenmore (made by Janome) with a handful of stitches and a top loading bobbin-YAY for that. anyway, just wanted to share...
...t.

Heather, I'm not sure but I work tomorrow and I will look it up in the list of deferrable medical conditions. I'll get back with you.
I hope Tessa picked out an extra special necklace for you. I just opened another gift from my MIL, an afghan-YAY!! I am always cold and don't have any throws in the living room, I always have to get one of Lily's afghans or drag my comforter off of my bed!!:rotfl2: SO that was a GREAT present!

Yay on the sewing machine and afghan!!

To be more specific, I have antiphospholipid antibody syndrome and protein c deficiency (One makes my blood "sticky" and one makes it clot). I've always assumed that I couldn't give blood, but it'd be nice to know for sure.

Please forgive me for veering off topic, but I really wanted to share and gush about my awesome DH. He didn't know what to get me for Christmas this year, and told me so. I didn't know what to tell him and figured he'd get me somehting nice. he always does pretty well for holidays.

Yesterday, before he went to work he woke me up, because I had to go to JoAnn and pick up a chair from the Viking store in JoAnn that I had ordered a while ago. When he woke me up, he told me he was giving me my Christmas present early and handed me a small envelope. Inside the envelope was....

A gift card for JoAnn!!

Now, the JoAnn by me is in Liquidation. It is closing January 15 (ish). EVERYTHING is on super clearance sale. He said he checked when he went in and bought the card at that JoAnn that they would honor it in the store if I went back.

So, I go off to JoAnn, and sidle up to the customer service desk to ask them how much is on my gift card (and if I can use it in liquidation). Well, he's right, I can use it....and.....

THERE'S $550 ON THE GIFT CARD!!!! :scared1: I called DH to make sure that hadn't been meant to be $55, and they hadn't charged him wrong. It wasn't....he meant for to be good for $500 in merchandise with the $50 to cover tax!! :faint: He told me to go crazy and stock up because he knew I was stressing about where I was goign to get supplies when they closed, and I could get enough to last me for a long long time with the gift card he gave me! :cool1:

I just about died. Then I went crazy. Then I about killed the ladies at the cutting table by workign them to death (not really, but almost....:rolleyes1 ). Everything in the store was 50-75% off!! I went NUTS!! Then, when my surburban's trunk was FULL, I went home, ran up to my husband (who was home by then) and gave him a huge smooch!!

BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER. :cloud9:

I jsut wanted to share with people who would understand the magnitude of this gift to me, and how much it means. My folks just sighed and tsked over the phone and yelled at him for encouraging my fabric and trim habit. His folks were confused as to why he would think that was a good gift.

Thank you for letting me gush.

-Angela
