We're snowed in today. We have about 6 inches. I took advantage of the time stuck in the house and made my dogs some Christmas handkerchiefs.

Oh my these are so cute!! Zoey is watching with me and now she wants a handkerchief too~~~

This is tacky and horribly shameless but I just posted an Update on my Trip Report, in case you want to read it... :flower3:

Hi TeresaJoy!!!! I cheated and went through many elf names till I found the perfect one. Booty! Come visit Utah some time. It's purdyful.

The last time you posted a trip report update, I was VERY upset that you did NOT let us know, (unless, being the scatterbrain that I can be, I just missed it!) so THANK YOU!!!! I really look forward to your updates!!!

And, I just might visit Utah someday, even if you are an elf name cheater!

.
And here they are today.

Thanks for reading. Hope I didn't bore anyone. Soon I will have my sewing machine and can start making some clothes (probably not as good as yours) maybe I'll start with PJ's.
Laura :flower3:
Your kids are adorable. and your little girl has a beautiful face. Watch out for her and those boys!
Pj's is a great place to start! they are easy and teach all the basics!

oh my , another thing to put on the list. those dogs are cutie pies!

Laura, thanks for sharing!!! Wow, thos were some QUICK deliveries! Your children are absolutely gorgeous!!!!!! Lydia was very excited to see your cowboys!!!

Yes I do have cowboys. The only sad thing is we live in Connecticut. We go to Lake George with my mom every year for a week in the summer and there is a rodeo close by and we take the kids. The first time we went my sons were 4 and 2, it was the first time my DS didn't talk for two whole hours.

Too cute. They have to have some customs too.

Hey! My little man was delivered by c-section on November 23rd. And, my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving!! Your little girl looks older to me. Here's my DS.

He's so cute and your daughter beatiful. Look we're almost twins.

Thanks for everyone's responses. The boys did have a lot of hair. Not so much for Elizabeth and she's still not where they were at this age. By one they needed haircuts sooo bad and I wouldn't cut their hair until their 1st birthday, her at 25 months still no haircut yet although it is getting longer but it's still very fine.

Did you go to the PBR invitational at MSG (they also go to Foxwoods)? We went, and it was awesome. We're just north of NYC, and boot, hat, and buckle wearers ourselves. :) We get funny looks sometimes. I'll have to see if I still have a pic of DD in her "cowgirl" dress I made her for halloween a few years ago. She ended up only wearing a hat, vest and boots with her regualr clothes for trick-or-treating, but did wear it to a party. We lost a lot of pics to a virus, and that might have been one of them, btu I'll check.

I have been sooo busy lately, and haven't had a chance to post, but love everyone's creations. And the snow pics.......... I am so jealous. I love the snow, and we don't have any!:sad1: Looks like we won't have a white Christmas this year.

Oh, and castlecreations, love that Cinderella dress! How long did it take you?

Thanks so much for sharing your birth stories!! I just love reading them. It's a sickness, really! :lmao: What beautiful babies you have!! Your kids are absolutely beautiful!! I love the cowboy hats and belt buckles.

Yay!! It's a good thing you did post an update or you would have had a mutiny on your hands over there. I always love your updates!!

Too cute!!! You guys are WAY nicer to your dogs than I am. I can't even find time to get my poor little Josie a haircut, much less make her festive Christmas gear.

We have us a Utah Snow Boot Code RED, People!!!!!!! (exagerate much?)
Riley's have worn out his hand me down boots so they are worthless and Dallen's are a good 2 sizes too big...they're Jordan's from last year. NO snow boots are to be found anywhere local! So I got on the phone and found some at Cabella's (Redneck Disneyland ) but they are SUPER expensive but will last because they are a very good brand (I forgot what the brand is). Today after church, while the kids are still dressed up, we're going to go see Santa at Cabella's . It's SO redncek there, we LOOOOVE it. Santa will be sitting on a rustic but big chair with the trophy animals (deer?) right behind him. Cabella's has a huge aquarium and a HUGE trophy room. I just want to go to "sample" the fudge.

We still have a good several months of a snow season left too. :confused3

That's how it is in Michigan too. Boots and gloves are hard to find, and swim suits will come out soon!! We have snow into April some years!!

I heard they have the best licorice too, grab some for me, kay? I can't believe we've never been there. I drive past it all the time. My sister lives in Lehi. (the town they filmed Footloose in) :rotfl: And pick up some boots for Jayden too, she insists hers no longer fit.

Oh good I loves me some updates!!!! Clearly you are my long lost sister...my snow boot/snow pants crisis hit early December...it was averted by my DH, who saves his pennies, and we got hand-me-down versions from Good Will. Well, we only get a snow storm or two or three tops here so to go through all the expense :sad2: of new ones which will be outgrown.....too much!

Like this year (the snow in April when my Arizona in-laws were all staying with us for Easter). Last year Tessa needed a spring jacket, so I started looking for one in April. Guess what? No spring jackets in the Spring, those were out in the middle of Winter. Grrr... She also needed snow pants last winter, which were nowhere to be found, among the shorts and bathing suits.

My sister lives in Lehi. (the town they filmed Footloose in) .
Wow!! That's so cool!!

Just wanted to say hi and ask a few questions. Hopefully I will be back and checking in more often now we have been so busy became foster parents and our last placements were a handful. We are getting a 2 and half year old foster daughter and I am going to have fun dressing her while she is with us. :) Does anyone know where if anywhere I can find Disney tshirt material? I am going to make a baby sling.

Just wanted to pop in and say Merry Christmas to all my Dis friends.

I started mynew job on monday and worked almost 50 hours this week. The hours are crazy and I'm not in love with the job but it'll have to do for now.

A guy that plays poker (a friendly $5 game) w/ B and his fiance and their grown children have taken my and my sisters kids under their wing for Christmas. It is truly humbling to be on the recieving end of this kind of generosity. It breaks my heart that this is where I am this Christmas, that I cannot even buy presents for my kids. With that burden taken off of us I am hoping we can still find a tree today, I can't imagine presents w/ no tree.

Between working crazy hours and trying to get ready for Christmas I have been EXHAUSTED.. I don't remember being this tired since Lily was newborn. I haven't even had time to work on her Christmas dress. I am doing that today.

I hope all of you are well rested and ready for a very Merry Christmas. Blessings to all of you and your's.

...t.

I'm so far behind that I'm not even going to try to catch up. I'm just going to the photobucket site to see what outfits I've missed. BUT, there were a few things that caught my eye and I had to comment on.

OMG This dress is TDF and you did an amazing job for $30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That looks amazing! I will be on the lookout for a pillowcase when I'm ready to try that one again! I so wish I had made some outfits for the girls' baby dolls. I was so busy trying to get theirs done for our trip that I didn't think about it. I'll have to work on some for their birthdays.

Can you send me some?! :santa:

HA! I'm shirring. That is SOO amazing. just thought I'd share.--how lame am I??

The daughter of a friend of my dad's asked me about Littles christmas stripwork top...and was thrilled that I'd made it. Her daughter does pagents and she is looking for someone to make some things (casual wear-boutique stuff). My mom and MIL said to take whatever work she has for me and they would help. B is insisting that I take a sewing class and start sewing more so I can polish stuff up a bit more. Good thing we've got a serger coming. I'm kinda excited.

Back to the shirring.

It's not that hard, is it? I was so scared of doing it, but it's so easy!!!! Let us see when you're done!

I do not know where to find Disney tee-shirt material. I wanted to offer some other suggestions:) I have made two different types of slings. The first was a ring sling like a maya wrap. I used regular cotton material in a nice print and ordered the rings online. The second was a mei tai and I made is with a cotton blend that had a little spandex in it to give just a little stretch. I think tee shirt material would have too much stretch to it. It would get out of shape and be hard to get the baby in securely. I have a free pattern website for the mei tai if you are interested. Just let me know.

Good luck with your placement. All of my kids are adopted from foster care. They were our first and second placements:) We are no longer foster parents, but I do miss it.
